Happy Birthday Raven!

Seems I was wrong about Asphalt 9, just when I thought they were cock blocking me, I started the other events and new tracks and events kept unlocking. I probably would pay for something at some point anyway as its a hugely enjoyable arcade raver.

In case I wasn't already feeling old, I had to get bifocals this weekend.

So I planned to start Psychonauts 1 and maybe 2 this weekend.  However I started The Ascent instead and it is addictive. I really love the gameplay.

I need them. I'm putting it off, but it's a genuine struggle to read anything that's less than a foot away if I have my glasses on.

So, you're not the only one getting old. On that note happy birthday Raven.

I got progressive lens last year. I kept increasing the font size on my Kindle. They do help a lot.

So this weekend I spent a lot of time with Kirby's Epic Yarn. I never spent a lot of time with it originally, but my kids liked it and my son suggested I give it a shot. Originally I thought it was way too easy, but 10 years later I can really appreciate the slower pace and lower stakes. Plus, if you want to try to get all the hidden treasures on each level and get a gold medal, that does rampa difficulty up for more of a self challenge.

This was definitely one to come back to. I really enjoyed it. Not sure if I'll go for a hundred percent completion, but I have found myself even playing the optional levels just because I've enjoyed the level design in the creativity so much.

I really enjoyed that game as well, especially when I quit looking at it as a weak challenge and more about exploration.

Yeah, that's the exact difference between my play through this time and last time. It's a relaxing and laid-back game, with some of the best art design of all time. Also, a heck of a lot more fun than Yoshi's woolly world.
