But yeah, get scared. There's plenty of nasty boss battles, and even worse you'll run into more regular fights where enemies can actually kill you pretty easily if you hold back at all.
Ah ok. Thanks for telling me that. Certainly changes things there then.
Also started buying a few Capcom arcade stadium games individually for £1.69 each
Mercs
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Strider
1944
I'm fairly impressed with all the options but the overlaying system wide interface is messy and convoluted.
For instance I set MERCs to vertical orientation but when I quit back to the Stadium menu it remained in that orientation. I had to go into another game to change back to normal.
Like I said options are excellent, filters, screen sizes, rewind, saves, you can change game difficulties. Your own life bars, stage selection etc.
It has to be said that switch is something of a beast for retro games. I noticed with Shakedown Hawaii in 1x zoom, TV vs switch screen, everything is sharper and more in proportion on the switch screen.
Same for these Capcom arcade games with the killer feature being able to play vertical orientation games. I was worried MERCS would run in some tiny letterbox, horizontally. But no, you can just flip the screen and play vertical arcade classics.
Might need to get a flip grip, but I tried just propping the switch on my leg and using the joycons wirelessly, it worked great.
Even at max size with the image stretched out on the entire switch screen, using the various display options you can get things looking really crisp.
It's something of a childhood dream playing arcade versions of these games in the palm of my hand, with infinite credits.
This weekend I was chased by a giant, big baby, killed a gigantic walking fish, and found all the body parts of my own child in four different flasks. What about you guys?
RE8 is so good.
Well saved pigs who were damned to burn in hellfire for eternity. I fought a witch that uses decomposing corpses to grow a special kind of rose. I got into a three way fight against empire mages and a demonic giant worm. I freed the soul of an undead knight who was cursed. Dos Dos is so good!
My Halo review is up!
This weekend was mostly spent taking down zeugles, lords, and a bit of fishing in Tales of Arise. Also challenged some fellow Spartans on the field of combat in Halo: Infinite multiplayer.
I also screwed around with Cruisin' Blast this weekend, and that was a lot of good stupid racing fun. I unlocked a unicorn and a triceratops to race with, so those are pretty much going to be my default choices now.
