After a full weekend of Detective Di, I can recommend it.
I was initially dubious to it's quality, then a price drop made me check online reviews and it had a solid 8 from various critic reviews.
One review said it was brief but fun. I thought it was going to end after the first case and it still would have been worth it for several hours of play.
I was then pleased to find the game continues and the cases escalate in severity and complexity as you track a serial killer.
Seems as long as any other adventure game to me and totally solid.
Could do with a couple of minor control tweaks, otherwise not much to complain about.
There have been a couple of times I've been completely stumped only to read a guide saying I have to recheck something in an environment I already checked. That's somewhat annoying as I expect once you've checked an item, if there isn't any other further interaction with it, how would one know it has to be rechecked?
Fairly familiar adventure game foible, pretty standard so no big shit.
Game reminds me of a combination of The DarkSide Detective (visually and simplified interface) and that Miles Edgeworth investigations game from the DS.
That said, I still can't actually watch real golf. I was at a wedding last weekend, and a lot of the guys there were discussing the masters. I couldn't even tell you who plays these days.
Game is a direct sequel to the first game and starts where the last game finished.
That said the first game is a complete experience in its own right. I was surprised the next game went the direct sequel path but after escaping the island I started enjoying it a lot more.
Still has brilliant visuals and excellent voice acting. A few control complexities here and there, but they give you more flexibility.
Some nudity already, full on open vagina paintings and boobs.
Really high quality zoom able backgrounds. Found an excellent puzzle already so much fun I just kept playing it till I beat all 4 aspects of it.
If you type into youtube "switch up Phoenotopia" there's a review. Those guys are always raving about it. But at £10 it's always been a little too much for an impulse buy I tend to get lost on 2D rpgs that aren't top down.
Next up, LEGO City?
Also have you heard of Phoenotopia?
It's supposedly a very good Zelda 2 like game I was considering getting and I was wondering if you had tried it or knew of it?
Really looking forward to getting LEGO Star Wars the Skywalker Saga in the future. Looks and sounds like a really good fun game.

Boop.
Tiger Woods. and the other guy.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a release date and it’s July 29th. Not too far off. Day One baby!
Completed Detective Di the Silk rose murders.
Game sucker punched me at the end with a twist I didn't see coming.
This is a totally solid adventure game.
8/10 and I'm down for a sequel.

I'm going to enjoy this game a lot.
That’s all I needed to hear.
I still need to play lego city, if its like this Im sure its fun.
Never heard of Phoenotopia it but I just looked it up now and it has great steam reviews. Looks cool!
I seriously thought you guys were discussing a disease until I got to the "steam reviews" comment by Dvade.
They say its like Zelda 2.
I just smashed Kirby!
Congratulations?
You sound unsure.
I just caught up with the recent barrage of new(ish) GU podcasts. I must say that the bit about monopoly was exquisite.
Seems like Sega botched it's Sonic Origins reveal with overcomplicated pre-order and DLC bonuses. Here's the chart
And in response Devolver digital released a similar chart for it's upcoming game Trek to Yumi:
