The Queen: a Dwarf Fortress story
a tale of unscripted storywriting. Fun read.

“I’ll be your mushroom. Eat me.”
Well if you insist.
It’s officially a happy day. Thanks GG.
Still playing Splatoon 3 when I should be getting on with Bayonetta 3, Bravely Default, or all those games I have downloaded on GamePass.
New content drops way too slowly, but I'm strangely excited over the winter catalogue clothing. Very fashionable and I'm a bit worried I won't be able to play enough to unlock all the gear I like. Damn you modern gaming tropes with your limited availability items unlocked through unreasonable amounts of playtime!
Barely played Splatoon 3.
Dont have the energy for high octane stuff that demands too much concentration. Bit burned out. Trying to play one story focused game with other arcade style titles on the side.
Good overall, very good. Lengthy and a crowd pleaser. With a little fat trimming and a few suggestions here and there, this could be called excellent.
Enjoyed all the Wilbur sections.
Some really well worked areas.
I wish Critter could either die, or speak though.
Been playing Aspire Inas Tale.
Less that 2 USD.
Simple but beautiful puzzle platformer. Looks really great on the OLED.
Mostly grabbing ledges, pushing blocks, climbing ropes etc.
Hear its short which is what I wanted. There are some timing puzzles that are difficult.
EDIT: Finished it, not bad, around 3-4 hours long. Most of the problems come because the camera is so far out. Sometimes it's difficult to see what crystal you're carrying, and it's easy to miss a handle that needs to be pulled. Stunning artwork, tranquil music, a nice but underdeveloped plot.
Worth the buy at the super low sales price.
The one I had before was the transparent Mario one. This solid one is a bit heavier so feels more solid and fits the bracket better too.
Happy Friday the 13th.
The first eight Friday the 13th movies are $13 on iTunes.
Finished Ghost Song, the metroidvania I backed as a kickstarter over 10 years ago! Not worth the wait lol. It's a serviceable Metroid game, it doesn't do anything bad, just nothing that stands out. I'm happy the dude finally released his game and that's something to be proud of.
Has anyone tried Vampire Survivors, the hit game that has people hooked. Well at first I thought the game was broken cause the attacks were happening automatically but that's how it works. All you do is run around, that's it. No other buttons do a thing. Attacks happen on their own at intervals that get better and amounts of damage that increase depending on the RNG power ups you find in the level. It's a crazy top down almost bullet hell like endless level and you try to survive as long as you can earning power ups and gold to buy better gear that lets you last longer and so on. The addictive loop works as you get new survivors and levels but it's so damn simple. I do love that it shamelessly takes from castlevania, they could sued to oblivion but I guess it's allowed. It's pretty fun.
started Signalis today, the 2D top down old RE like game. Yeah it's got the RE formula down but it's not RE, it just doesn't have the level design, the monster design or pacing to match RE.
I think theres a vampire demo on switch that came out last week. Might check it out.
I tried the Sonic Frontiers demo.
Dat shit, no. No. I can't.
Doesn't help that its a blurfest on Switch, but the gameplay doesn't do it for me either.
Do you at least aim in Vampire Survivors?
Nope, nothing. Different attacks shoot in specific directions. Some home in on enemies, some attack on your sides. Some rotate around you.
Finished Signalis, wow that was dissapointing, it fails the survival part of survival horror. I'll have to do the review soon.
