This past weekend I finished Pikmin 1 and began a playthrough of Mario Vs Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Its quite fun. I'm enjoying it more than the original.
I'm on the road, which is the only time I have the time to get on the internet. Also, time to play games at length.
I have had the Switch Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 "Enhanced Editions" for a while and started on it.
Boy was I disappointed. It's the PC games from 1998 and 1999 and the console conversions are slim, expecially when it comes to interface.
In my head I was buying the Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance and it's sequel, which were released for the PS2 and are exceptional. I'll keep going with it... for now, but what a bummer, I thought I had 60 to 80 hours ahead of me repllaying one of my favorites, not some CRPG that's been shoe-horned onto the Switch.
For someone notoriously bad at 2D side scrollers (that are not on GB) I just watched the SMB Wonder trailer, and it redefines "whimsical". Took me back to 1983 Mario on Game and Watch.

Baldur's gate dark alliance 1 and 2 are on Switch. I think they're digital download-only, though
Finally finished FF16, wow what a game. Full review soon.
it's the first time in months I don't have a new game lined up to play, what do I do... oh wait Pikmin is coming! So I guess I'll play Pikmin... 3! Yeah I bought it and never played it so before I even think of 4 I'll play 3 instead.
As much as I'm loving Mario vs Rabbids 2, I'm sure I will drop it like a hot potato tomorrow when Pikmin 4 releases. I will get back to it after completing Pikmin. Speaking of Pikmin 4, is there enough interest in the game to create its own thread?
Happy 40th Famicom!
When Pac-Man turned 40, that bothered me a lot. This not so much. I suspect it's because Pac-Man made me accept them I'm an old fart.

I finished Need for Speed Unbound which was actually really good. Best NFS in a long time.

Pikmin 4 is loaded with content, maybe more than the previous three combined. I wasn't expecting all of this.
That's good to hear. I loved Pikmin 3 and got plenty of replay from that. I hope I play this one day.
Ended up playing New Super Lucky’s Tale on the XSX through Game Pass this weekend. Really fun platformer.
I'm rescuing castaways and collecting materials in Pikmin 4. I've put in twenty hours so far and I am not quite halfway done. So good.
