In non-gaming related weekend activities, today I went to Fanboy Expo, which was my first comic convention in maybe 5 years? I still go to a local horror convention on a pretty regular basis, but that's more of an excuse to hang out with friends. Anyway it was a fun time. Got to meet Mickey Dolenz (he was cool), Chris Kattan (he kind of sucked), and a few others.
Best of all was Sebastian Bach, former lead singer of Skid Row. Dude was super fun and funny as hell. During his panel he mentioned albums and artists he liked (apparently he's a mega Kiss fan), and he mentioned Steely Dan (they rule). So as he panel ended the guy running the sound board played Deacon Blues and he started singing along and proceeded to pretty much sing the entire song. So that was awesome.
I recently finished Death Stranding. Excellent game, looking forward to seeing where Kojima goes in DS2. Been playing Sea of Stars this weekend. Really good retro style RPG. Love the art style. Watching lots of wrestling. Watched WWE Payback. Really good show. Am now watching AEW All Out PPV.
Hey speaking of those things, can we expect great things from CM Punk at All Out tonight? Since it's in Chicago and everything. I know he'd hate to let the crowd down.
No he really got fired. Apparently he's got some issues and tried to attack the owner of the company. It's one of those bizarre stories that's actually far more interesting than any storyline they could come up with.
CM Punk always struck me as a dickhead tbh. This whole series of events hasn't been surprising to me in the least.
In other news, I finished RE0 which may end up being one of my favourites. The sheer, utter stupidity of not having an item box makes a game ruining mechanic so insane that it somehow becomes worthy of respect. And it's got the best sewer section of any RE in it.
So I've moved onto 7, which is really good so far. I love how it starts like Silent Hill, and just as that is starting to wear a little thin (because as if Capcom are going to be able to make an interesting Silent Hill experience lol) it goes full RE sense of humour and absurdity. I also love the everyday setting; it scratches an itch RE2 remake's petrol station started: what would RE-style nonsense be like in a more modest setting, with more normal characters.

It was pretty funny because the majority of fans there were actively cheering The Young Bucks during their match and were noticeably derogatory about Punk.
I know Punk is quite a prick but I’m kind of disappointed that things turned out how they did. Could have had some really fun matches and storylines if he could have kept his ego in check.
The PPV tonight was really damn good. Much better then I expected from it. Was on the fence about ordering it but am glad I did.
Well I got starfield, I have thoughts! But I'll post those in a starfield thread. I didn't get to play much this weekend cause I visited all my friends in Miami.
So that Mario Wonder direct is amazing. It seems to be the most creative 2D Mario in a long time. It could end up too gimmicky but I think it's very customizable, I'm sure those of us that want pure platforming will have that too. I'm excited, especially all the coop stuff, the nephews will love it. Also we need to do some races, like come on guys we can organize for at least a night.
And in other news I bought a house. In the same Tampa suburb my parents and sister are at. It's a townhouse, 2 beds 2 and a half baths. Nothing big but a place I can call my own. I'll be closing in October and then I have to decorate it. Growing area so I think it's a smart investment as well.
Played a bunch of PS1 games. Also gave up on Wolfenstein YoungBlood. Good mechanics but the save checkpoints are not respectful of my time. Going back to replay 20 mins of an FPS level is not my scene.
Also played The Show 2016 for PS4. They make it hard just to pick it up, select two teams and play a single game. It's bullshit. All online modes and career modes and build a franchise mode.

Right on, good job Vade. Think big on your updates (like paint and flooring) easier and cheaper to do it as soon as possible.

Congrats Vader. Home ownership is a smart investment (at least it is here, I supose the same is true in the US).

Listen to this man and his good advice. We've been refurbishing our house for a year and a half now while we live in it. It's doable, but things get procrastinated all the time. I've grown used to livng in an unfinished house.

That's surprising they didn't include a Quick Play option. That's the mode I mostly use in EA PGA Tour 23.
But what videogame did you play this weekend?

The dude got fired right? Or is that a shoot? Or a work? Ive been out of wrestling for decades now.

Congratulations, man.

Also nabbed Layers of Fear 2, Dropsy and Angelo and Deemon.

Congratz, Vader!
Congratulations, Vader, that's awesome!
Thanks guys, for sure before moving things in I'll do the remodeling.
