If I could easily get the GC to work with Mclassic I'd play this on GC.

TTYD and Colour Splash are the best Paper Mario games.

All the Switch 2 news this week had me hoping for a tease.

So anything less would be disappointing.

Back to playing Eastward. It's like Earthbound visuals and characters with Zelda gameplay. It's a lot better designed than I expected. The game is clearly a work of love.

Also I love how playing on the Switch screen makes pixel art appear crisper.

Not a half bad direct. I wasn't really expecting a Switch 2 announcement until after the holiday season, so I can't say I was surprised when nothing was announced.

Anyway, happy to see the Another Code Recollection. Those were games I never got a chance to play and really wanted to.

The new SaGa game could be good, it might also be crap. That's got to be one of the most inconsistent series out there.

Trombone Champ??? What the hell was that? Looks like an old Wii game they didn't know what the hell to do with.

I like the f-zero 99 idea. A race with that many people is going to be pure chaos, but I could also see it being a lot of fun.

And Eiyudrn Chronicle I guess is the spiritual sequel for Suikoden. Looks pretty good. That'll be one to keep an eye on.

Pretty decent Direct. Interested in:

  • Paper Mario TTYD
  • Super Mario RPG
  • Eiyuden Chronicles
  • Contra
  • Unicorn

Was really hoping for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker coming to the Switch. You can tell things are winding down for the Switch. Bring on the Switch 2 baby.

Fzero 99 would be great, if it was Fzero GC 99 or at least a spruced up version of the N64 GAME.

Me too. I really thought we'd get an F-zero GX remaster announced. Hopefully someday.

Not much in that direct except for Paper Mario 2, love that game.

The PS showcase though, my god! RE4 seperate ways next week!!!!! Spider-Man 2 looks incredible! Avatar is impressive graphically.

then there is FFVII Rebirth, MY GOD!!!!!!!! That's one of the greatest trailers I've ever seen! It's all there! Open world, riding chocobos to explore the world. All the mini games, all the summons, red and cait gameplay looks great! Just insanity, it's a dream come true.

Some great stuff in that PlayStation Showcase. Really looking forward to:

  • Tales of Arise dlc
  • Resident Evil 4 Remake dlc
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

That FFVIIR trailer was amazing. They showed tons of cool stuff in it.

Saw this image in a news article about 30.000 orthodox jews undertaking a pilgrimage to Ukraine to celebrate their newyear in some holy place.

Nothing proves how ingrained pokémon is in pop culture better than seeing a Pikajew T-shirt.

Guys Eastward is really good.

You need to play it on a smaller screen if it's available. The pixel art suffers when stretched across a huge TV.

It's a masterclass in visual design, the pixel art is so detailed. The world they've created is brilliantly realised. The gameplay is very Zelda like only more simplified. Games very big as well, more than you would expect. It feels like a labour of love, they've gone to the extent of creating minutely detailed rooms most people won't even visit.

There's little secrets hidden everywhere. Wish I'd bought it physical.

I started a new game with a mage character in Skyrim (PS5). I decided to really get into all of the side quests I come across (that I've mostly ignored them in previous plays). I was missing out for sure. Think I've had more fun playing this game this weekend than I've ever had playing it in the past. I almost have enough money to buy a house now.

Finished Sea of Stars and got all the achievements for it. Damn good game. Putting more focus into Starfield now.
