Year after year, decade after decade, no one knows how to consistently disappoint like atari.

Surprised that Atari is still around.

Today's Atari is not the same Atari that gave us the 2600. They've changed ownership at least twice over the years and I'm probably underselling that. The name still has value, so it'll hang around one way for another for a while.

Yeah I recall them bouncing around over the years. They do have quite the rich history of stuff so it’s a shame they seem to bungle things so often.

So far this weekend, I threw the pigskin around with the Denver Broncos in an exhibition match against the Chicago Bears, played 18 holes of golf at Pebble Beach, expanded my empire with two new cities and conquered three nearby barbarian camps, and found a handful wonderful seeds in the Flower Kingdom.

This weekend my gaming consisted mostly playing Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name where I helped a woman retrieve her panties from a tree. Typical Yakuza stuff. LOL

Also played some Alan Wake Remastered.

I just played an hour of Gran Tursimo 7 using gyro steering controls. The rounded shape of the PS5 controller feels a bit like holding a steering wheel, so holding it up and turning it feels fairly natural. It is more engaging and fun to play like this. It is a little tiring too, though. More driving games need to offer these types of control options.

I finally dived into Dragon Quest Treasures this weekend. Very fun and enjoyable gameplay loop. And the soundtrack borrows very heavily from the earlier games in the series, and it's great to hear some of the Dragon Quest 8 songs again.

I'm a little disappointed with the number of monster models they have though. Feels like it should have been a lot more. But, I suspect this game was also a testing ground for Dragon Quest Monsters, and they needed to figure out landscapes, physics, and other stuff like that before they tackled all the models.

I continued through the Dead Space remake. Life has been so crazy that the last time I played it was a week ago.
