I hope summer weather gets here fast. Spring allergies have been really messing me up.
Well then, I'm at episode 3 and so far it's great. Really makes me want a new fallout. Fallout game sales are skyrocketing everywhere. They knocked this one out of the park
Okay, this weekend was rainy, so despite all my efforts to work I ended up with more time to game.
Checked out the Switch sale and got Pac Man Championship Edition 2 for $4. Also got two demos Inazuna Eleven 15 and Dave the Diver (ended up buying it after playing the demo. Inazuna I respected, but it's not for me. It's more of a turn based strategy game, which is a difficult paradigm to graft onto a sports game (at least while you are learning). I've short changed it no doubt, it was early access, but not for me.
Pac Man CE2, not as good as CE1, but still has enough of that Pac Man greatness for me to have played about 3 hours of it in the last 12 hours
I was prepping the artwork for tomorrow's podcast on which I'll be talking about Princess Peach Showtime, so used an AI generator. I used this as a seed image:
and told it I wanted a dystopian photograph version of it.
I thin kit did pretty well given the challenge!
Great game. I really enjoyed the new mechanics. Not sure why, but I haven't played it in years. I need to remedy that soon.
Nailed it
Have you ever been really into the music of a certain group, only to drop them like a hot potato, then rediscover them years or even decades later? Thats me with Pearl Jam. I just completely stopped listening to them after their fourth album, just didn't appeal to me. Recently, I was watching The Bear and one of their songs was played in the episode and reignited my love for the band again. I played the fifth album and it's brilliant. I stopped listening to them way too soon. They even released a new album on Friday, but you may not be aware because Taylor released an album on that day as well. I will eventually get to the rest of their discography.
CE1 is a better traditional Pac-Man game.
CE2 introduced sleeping ghosts and bombs. when you run past a sleeping ghost, they will start chasing you; you can get dozens of them to follow you at once, eat a power bill and then eat them all in a huge points chain. The bomb can be used to knock the ghosts away when about to get hit.
Edit: I'm confusing CE2 with Pac-Man DX+.. Yeah I don't remember what CE2 was about either.
Nah, you are right. I was the one that was confused (insert old man joke here). I was thinking DX+ was called CE2. I redownloaded all three games on Steam today. CE2 is like DX+ but with an added a jump button and a ton of unlockable gameplay modes. I blame Namo for their confusing Pac-man naming scheme.
I downloaded Peggle 2 this weekend. I havent touched The Quarry this week and my son finished What Remains of Edith Finch.
This weekend I've mostly played Super Mario World. I started with a new game yesterday. I intend to beat it without activating the color block palace switches. I've never tried that before.
Played through The Quarry and been playing Fallout 76 this weekend. Rather enjoyed The Quarry and am currently enjoying Fallout 76. Never played it when it first came out but it seems like it improved significantly from then to now.
