Thinking that Concord is going to be DOA. If I want to play that kind of game then I’ll play Marvel Rivals. At least it has actual Marvel characters then some knockoff.
Crowns and Pawns is a mostly well done Broken Sword replacement. There are a few puzzles which Stray too close to old and obtuse timed sections of older adventure games.
Some bits are so bad you would never figure them out without a guide. Others are timed, pain when you know what to do but the timing won't work.
Then there's the absurd. Expecting you to know the formations of a hockey team??
Remembering a sequence of musical notes, with no reminders.
Somehow working out a sequence of notes to make a hockey crowd jeer? If you're not a musician and hockey fan you will be stumped by this section, it's just unfair.
The game also has no hint system whatsoever.
I'm still enjoying it but I find with adventure games, if these moments keep happening they leave you with a sour feeling, like how in the hell were you supposed to work that out?
Finished Crowns and Pawns, very much a good Broken sword game.
It did chain together a few too many timed wtf moments in succession in the final third of the game. That let it down as it could have been a wholly enjoyable game.
Ended up buying Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak currently on sale for the PS5 because of course I would.
Played mostly that this weekend. So can’t wait for Monster Hunter Wilds.
I've been mostly playing The Dig this weekend. Really enjoying it so far.
I also started playing RealMyst 2014 edition late last night. Much easier to play than the original; easier on the eyes too.
I started Shadow of the Tomb Raider and am loving. My memory of this game was that it was the weakest of the series. That was wrong. Right now, I feel ots a close second in this series. Theres tons of new gameplay mechanics and the gun play feels much improved. Of course, it's visually the best.
I also achieved something of a milestone in Hearthstone. There's a game mode called battlegrounds, and I got a high enough ranking that I ended in the top 1% of players. And with that, I deleted it off my phone. If it's still around again in a few years. I'll probably give it a spin then.
