Splatoon3 rage is kicking in. I keep getting teamed against peopele with like 10 0r 15 game winning streaks.

Then I remember that quote from the SF guy, saying people prefer team shooters these days because they can blame others for their losses and I just get even more pissed!

Just beat the final boss in Shadow Of The Erdtree. What an insane boss fight. Damn. Not sure how many times I died but it was definitely more then 50. Probably even more then 75. I’m sure playing it on NG++++ certainly didn’t help. LOL

Im still playing, the game is as good as Elden Ring, its Elden Ring 1.5. Its one of the best souls games ever on its own. So good.

I have heard that final boss is insane.

So other than that I played Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, BRILLIANT puzzle game. Ill have a full review later, its mostly logic style puzzles in an ultra stylish package.

Are they still hiding who died the most on your team?

Hated that change, in Splatoon 1, you could tell who the weakest link was. Then they changed it to not hurt people's feelings.

No, you can see the kill/death ratio of everyone, as well as how many supers they used and how much turf they inked.  But you can't do anything about it.  If they decided to stay on your team, you're stuck with them.

You can't see someone's level anymore in turfwars, but that doesn't really matter anyhow.  At the beginning of a ranked match it'll also show how many 'sessions' (5 wins without more than 2 losses) everyone has won so far.  When you're up against a team in which 2 players have 1 succesfull session behind their belt, and another has 3 or more, you know you're screwed.

Had this one game yesterday that was pure chaos.  It was raining supers all game long.  I even had the clarity of mind to appreciate how the game didn't break a sweat without any noticable framerate drops.  It's game's like this that I'm at my best.  I thrive in chaos.  It's the games in which the opponents camp at 1 or 2 strategic spots and dominate from there that I don't seem to have an answer for.

Salt and Sanctuary is hard, though not as hard as it was about an hour ago. A lot of games have gotten the label of "2-D Dark Souls," but for this game, it's an entirely accurate comparison. Just about everything about it reminds me of Dark Souls including being able to choose a starting class that is pretty worthless.

When I was picking my character I chose chef (because if you can fight evil forces as a chef, you pick the goddamn chef). They had another one called pauper, which I assumed was going to be like the deprived class in Dark Souls. Turns out they're both like the deprived class. The chef just starts the game with been worse equipment. A chef's hat and a ladle.

Anyway, the game was bitterly hard and I was getting pretty frustrated only being able to make very modest headway. Then I took a look at what the other classes had to offer, and I read something that basically said the chef is for the experienced players who want a supreme challenge. Suddenly things made a lot more sense. I just started over as a night and holy Christ. This is night and day different. Obviously it's still hard, but compared to what I just went through this is almost relaxing.

Was wondering about Lorelli, looks too hard for me. Is there a hint system built in?

I own this, only tried for 5 mins. Visuals are very grungy, not sure I can get used to it.

Bought The Messenger, put it off for ages as I'm not a fan of this music.

Not sure I like the jump, slash, jump mechanic. Doesn't feel as good as something like Sundered.

Lorelei has built in more ppl that tracks every puzzle you need to do but no hint system. It's not the easiest but don't be afraid to use a guide and I think it's an enjoyable game.

I like the first half of the Messenger. I can't really recall the controls well, and whether or not they were good, but I remember I was enjoying my experience up until the halfway point. And then the game sort of changes, direction and the difficulty spikes real quickly. At that point it was more than I could handle, or at least continue to have fun while playing.
