Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileDon’t have Disney Plus currently. Been thinking of getting it for a bit to check it out.
I restarted playing it again myself last weekend. The amount of gameplay depth it has is impressive.
Oh yes, a Police Academy marathon on AMC.
I was thinking TJ Hooker
Turns out it wasn't a marathon, just PA2. Bob Goldthwaite was the villain.
Bobcat Goldthwait. Man, there'a name I haven't heard or thought of in a long, long time.
That was the worst one until they got to Police Acadamy 5.
How much would you guys pay for GTA 6?
There was a story yesterday that some company or financial analyst saying Rockstar charging $100 for GTA 6 would be the impetus for publishers to raise game prices to that level for AAA games going forward.
For some reason $100 = £100 even though that not the exchange rate wtf.
I don't think I would ever pay that much for a game.
What's the most expensive game you've ever bought?
Mine was an imported version of Streetfighter 2 Turbo on SNES from Japan for £90. I was a kid so I didn't have cash, but I traded in a shit load of games for it.
I've paid about $70 maybe $80 gor a special edition , but I can’t remember for what
I feel that GTA6 could get away with $100, but other AAA games couldn't. GTA6 is a cultural phenomenon in a way that not even something like COD or ex-Fifa is.
Most I ever paid for a game was a little above €100 in 2001 for Conkers BFD, which was much higher than other games due to the how big the game was and it requiring a larger cart. When corrected to inflation that'd equate about 165 of today's Euro's. Then again, games have hardly risen in price since then, so I'm not sure inflation needs to be part of the equation here.
I see these comments all the time. current exchange rate is 1.23 dollars for a pound. US prices are without VAT. VAT in the UK is 20%. So a $100 game + UK VAT equals $120, which is neigh on exactly £100.
I think they just put that $100 price out there so that when they actually bump it up $10 it won’t seem so bad.
For what I spent most on a game it was probably like $150 Canadian more or less. I’ve purchased a number of Special/Deluxe Editions of games for around that price. They usually included future dlc though. Back in the day I remember paying $100 for Street Fighter II on the SNES and $115 for Chrono Trigger on the SNES as well.
Xbox Series X and PS5 games are already $90 here in Canada so a $10 USD bump in price would put them at $105 here in Canada.
I can't live like that. Whenever I went to America I'd go to the till and get a suprise. You never know what you're going to pay till they add the tax.
I'm not one of those people, though. I don't have any real interest in it.
That was the one that came with the cockpit controller though wasn't it?
Yup. It was ridiculously large but super cool.
