I think they just put that $100 price out there so that when they actually bump it up $10 it won’t seem so bad.
For what I spent most on a game it was probably like $150 Canadian more or less. I’ve purchased a number of Special/Deluxe Editions of games for around that price. They usually included future dlc though. Back in the day I remember paying $100 for Street Fighter II on the SNES and $115 for Chrono Trigger on the SNES as well.
Xbox Series X and PS5 games are already $90 here in Canada so a $10 USD bump in price would put them at $105 here in Canada.
I can't live like that. Whenever I went to America I'd go to the till and get a suprise. You never know what you're going to pay till they add the tax.
I'm not one of those people, though. I don't have any real interest in it.
That was the one that came with the cockpit controller though wasn't it?
Yup. It was ridiculously large but super cool.
Yeah, I also have to pay taxes here where I live in Canada as well. It’s 13% here for me so that $100 turns into $113 after all is said and done.
And as I thought about it, the most I've ever paid for a game was for a super famicom copy of Final fantasy 5. I got that from a import game shop in 1997, and I paid $80 for it. If you account for inflation, that's probably $120 today. But even discounting that, I don't think I've ever paid more than $80 for a game.
To be honest I will probably be willing to pay $100, knowing that it will be the only game for me for a few months. I will more likely not have a game pass subscription by that time.
Lol. Thought about this the other day.
I think Rockstar can get away with that price but I'm not sure about the rest of the industry? GTA is like the mega blockbuster that only seems to come out with a new release every couple of generations. Assassins Creed? Nah. Halo? Maybe? Madden? Maybe.
When Yakuza 2 was not going to be released in the US I thought it was a good idea to buy the Japanese version and a Japanese Playstation 2. Uh huh. That's how dumb I usd to be (with money), I'm still dumb in every other respect. Geez, Probably $100 for the game and at least $250 for the console. So that would be the most expensive game I've ever bought.
Maybe not, I think I paid a fair bit for Tengen Tetris, Snatcher for Sega CD and Panzer Dragoon Saga...
I am on the road today and I forgot my laptop mouse. God I hate touchpads. No news updates today Superfirends.
Digitizer pens all the way! (when on the road)

Those would fit very well on there for sure.
Kameo was very average.
