Oh it's going to crash for sure. And there is no way companies are nice enough to give digital discounts, they will use that as an excuse to just raise all prices.

I'm usually playing adventure games, but recently I've been on a 2D Metroidvania kick.
And the bosses are beginning to piss me off. I'm exploring, I'm having fun. And then a boss comes along too frequently and bogs everything down.
Some are mildly annoying, some are a massive pain in the ass. Some you have to grind for, some you have to reequip for. Some you have to painstakingly memorise attack patterns.
On a several of these games I'll get to the final boss and I just can't be bothered struggling through just to see the end credits.
So what are your thoughts on bosses? Are they overused? How should they be tuned? Should they ne optional or skip able?
Or should they be Nintendo style 3 hit bosses?
Love bosses. The bigger, the better.
