It's still possible the carbon monoxide escaped, but that being said, I do agree it's kind of weird. Plus, one they've now said that only one of the dogs died. Apparently there were some others.

People do some crazy shit due to carbon monoxide poisoning. I've read stories of people who can't account for hours of their lives.

Police are now treating it as suspicious.

Could be bad food poisoning and they fed one dog a piece of something.

I got to admit, I knew there was going to be a lot of weird shit going on this year. But a murder mystery around Gene Hackman was not on my bingo card.

Read in my national news article that the maintenance worker who discovered their bodies found the home’s front door ajar but no signs of forced entry. Gene was found in the kitchen and Arakawa and the dog were found in the bathroom with pills from a prescription bottle scattered on the counter. Both appeared to have fallen suddenly to the floor but neither showed signs of blunt force trauma.

I heard they had other dogs which arrived still alive. The dead one was found in a closet.
