Overall 7.70
When you guys said SML2 was a big improvement over the first you guys weren't kidding. This game actuly feels like Mario, the physics are correct, the level design is great and there is even a SMW like map. I was surprised at how varied the levels were, stuff like going into a toy world or jumping into space. It kind of reminded me of galaxy. The bosses are very well done as well and extremely varied.

It's still a very small game offering only about 30 levels. It took me about 2 hours to finish but it was worthy of being a Mario game unlike the first one.

It is a great game indeed and very much feels like a NES Mario game but like you say it is really really short.  Back in the original gameboy days that was expected and forgiven.  It was the price to pay for having games of such high quality on a portable.  I still have my SML2 cartridge somewhere.

I'm sure you know this already but Super Mario Land 3 is not a Mario game, it's the first Wario Land.  Great game, as was SWL2 and 3
