How much cash have you won anyway?
Summary of all my poker blogs to date:
- Won first freeroll tournament: $0.25 earned.
- Won second freeroll tournament: $1.25 earmed.
- Put $1.15 into a "Double or Nothing" tournament, had the worst luck ever (or ended up paired with the luckiest noobs ever) and lost that.
- Put $0.25 into another tournament to use up my money, lost that, leaving me with $0.10 I couldn't use for anything.
- Pokerstars credits my account for $5 for free .
So altogether, I've recieved $6.50 for doing nothing but playing a free game that I love, and I currently have $5.10 left. Now to figure out what my best approach is to grow it to a decent size. It's tough, because with that little money, you have to start winning right away, or you're screwed. Except now I have 5 times as many chances as I had before, so going broke is not really an option this time unless I do something ridiculous.
But on that note, I know of people who have turned $5 into thousands, someone who turned $0 into $150. Then there are pro players... Daniel Negreanu is currently in the process of trying to turn $10 into $100,000. I think he's just trying to outdo Chris Ferguson turning $0 into $10,000. It took him over a year and at least one pretty lucky break, but meh... I never said it would be easy
I can get one $5 hooker, or 5 really sloppy ones (even moreso.)
