After experiencing the horrid sex-filled video game RE4 I should have known better than to play RE5. Especially after some called it RE4.5. But I expected things to be different, for it had also been called racist. I might have an aversion to sexual content, but that is only due to how easily aroused I am. As for racism I have no problem. I�m from Australia and racism doesn�t exist here in any form, just ask the aborigines. So I was looking forward to a satisfying game full of black people to shoot.

How disappointed I was. The first thing to note is that it isn�t racist. In fact it makes a point not to be racist. All the best enemies are black or natives, that is to say cultures that have yet to progress beyond barbarism. Indeed, lest the player make the mistake that the black people in war point with shields are not infected, Sheva (who as a black woman is probably privy to a long list of infections) explicitly tells you that they are infected. But it was at this stage I ascertained for sure that the game was sexist. A journal left by a young native said that all the women and children died after being infected with ouroboros. (Ouroboros are serpents by the way, and serpents are a widely accepted symbol for the penis.)

Read that again. All women. Not only that but all the female characters are either little more than concubines or nothing short of retarded. Take Sheva for example. She has two strategies: attack and hide behind the muscley man; and attack generally consists of suicide. In fact most of her actions when not hiding behind Chris are generally fatal. For her. Indeed, it states quite clearly that in a situation like that a woman�s place is hiding behind her man. Partners? Please.

Okay, she has a third strategy for self defence: wear this "outfit".

Jill Valentine while certainly more athletically gifted than Sheva is also in need of help from Chris. In fact her athleticism is not really used to defend herself from Chris, but instead to show off her MGS beauty suit in cutscenes. Sure she was under the control of Wesker, but perhaps removing him from her control did not save her. In fact I believe the removal of the red gem-like object attached to her body as if with veins symbolised the removal of her very heart. Without it she was reduced by her former partner, Chris, into a weakling that was forced to flee instead of join the battle.

When your imagery is less misogynistic than a Lil Jon photo you know you're in for trouble. Note that the woman is in front of the man.

Excella too is helplessly in love with Wesker. A man who while very sexually attractive is manipulative and abusive. Even so she is one of the strongest female characters in the game, but she is of course disposed of by the misogynistic Wesker. Given that the ouroboros phallus kills off all women instead of turning them into sexually aggressive super men, it�s fair to say that his plan all along was to rid the world of women to create a super nation for sick homosexuals such as himself, despite what he says.

Indeed, she and a blonde woman who was dragged off to be raped by black men (which is clearly full of racist imagery, and made me cringe as an Australian who has seen how aborigines and Islamic men treat their women, especially if they are white, from Zimbabwe, or South African) were the only women in the game to show any form of sexual aggression, and both died. But perhaps it means that Wesker did not plan to kill off all women. He probably wanted a few to survive to satiate his own perverted sexual desires.

While she is in front of the man, she is fleeing from him rather than trying to fight off his sexual advances, or act more sexually agressive herself. Note the contrast in comparison to the Lil Jon picture.

But the blatant sexism aside let�s get to the sex of the matter. Resident Evil 5 is a game that is all about stimulation. You literally stimulate the black men until they prematurely ejaculate or burst into a meaty, erect raping machine. At this stage it�s a case of cleaning up. Of course what�s wrong with that? Should sex not be encouraged? It certainly is in the bible! The problem is the violent way in which sex is encouraged. It�s a case of rape or be raped here, with most of the player deaths resulting from a case of forced penetration, and while this is understandable in a homosexual context, it does not pass the mustard in a broader one.

What message does this send to the children who have the misfortune to play the game? That it�s okay to rape people because if you didn�t, they�ll probably rape you? Or even worse that homosexuality should be accepted, or even encouraged? Thiese are some disgusting revelations. At least in RE4 was just perverted, not completely morally wrong. This sort of thing might pass in Japan (the land of RapeLay) but here where women are not seen as semen sponges it just doesn�t pass. Ironic how a country that censors it pornography encourages such disgusting acts perpetrated against women.

I could understand if Chris was being raped. Homosexual rape is something most homosexuals have to be very careful of given homosexuality�s very sexually aggressive culture, but extending such horrible acts to women is unacceptable. With all that in mind I don�t think it should be censored. It should be shunned, but available for the perverts to play. Japan censors porn and look at what Japanese men are like. (See above.) No, I say we release it but with some sort of tracking device so that we know exactly who is playing it. This way we can pre-emptively arrest any adults playing a game, re-educate any one who is considering homosexuality, and arrest any parents of minors playing the game. This way everyone wins.
