So my Mario hat arrived today. It's smaller than I thought, and won't fit on my head.

This doesn't really show the scale, but it's too small for an adult head. I realize most people just picked it up for collection purposes.  However, it does fit a kid. Particularly well on a 3 year old hell raiser for instance.  And so here's how it looks on Robio Jr. who just got an important accessory for what may be his Halloween costume.

Are you kidding me daddy??

Very well you bastard I'll look happy.

Ahh screw you.  You could have at least done better with the mustache.

The mustache could use some work.

Yeah you try to paint a mustache on a 3 year old. If you can do a better job let me know.

You should've just let him grow it himself. Vader already had a beard at three.

Dammit. I wanted this hat but I didn't get enough Nintendo points to qualify. I'm getting some shitty calendar.

I also remember the description of this hat saying "one size fits most; may be too large for small children" so I guess that full-grown adult Japanese are the size of our three year olds.

I got Platinum Club Nintendo rank after the deadline, so I'll get whatever they have next year.  The hate and whatever the other option was I don't really care (not everyone has a three year old to draw a mustache on).

15 years ago, I posted these pictures of my kid with the Mario hat that was Club Nintendo gave to gold or platinum members. Over the past week, the kid graduated high school and turned 18.

Not that you guys don't already know, but time fucking flies.

I remember that post.

Yeah, I noticed while processing some paperwork today that one of the workers we have was born in 2003!

Without exageration I have T-shirts older than that.

It's funny, when I was in high school I used to laugh at my dad because he had a pair of jeans that were 20 years old that he would wear when he mowed the lawn. I now have multiple t-shirts that are well over 20 years old. In fact, I have one pair of umbros that I wore in high school that I can still fit into thanks to their stretchy waistband.
