Quick on the draw, already pumped one out. Could have been a bit better, but close enough for a first try!

Excellent. Will watch later today. THANKS! I hope you dealt with my Volcano theory with the ridiculousness it deserves.
We don't have them much in Australia because of social/ environmental concerns relating to damming rivers etc...
Living in a remote area with lots of wind, I have to say I'd be against windmills being installed around here for the reasons you stated (mostly lifestyle related) but actually the noise. The same aspects of the region that makes it good for wind (nothing to block it) also makes it a place where sound carries far.
Thanks Yoda!

A problem related to this though is that there's a big factor of something of a placebo effect when trying to do studies. Physiological reactions in studies have varied widely, and with the association people have with health problems and living near turbines, it's difficult to separate (and that alone may be enough of an issue). The same kind of things happened with people being concerned about WiFi as a health risk, which is indisputably safe.
I can tell you from experience that I can hear one of my neighbors phone ring (I know which one) and they are over 3 kilometres away. Sound carries where there is wind. Fortunately they only get calls about twice a week.
The volcano part should have been your response to the YouTube comment on misogyny.
They simply are not efficient enough.
There isn't anything wrong with windmills. Why aren't they everywhere? They take up quite a bit of space (and can't just plant them near residential areas), have some social stigma/myths depending on where you're talking about, and they don't generate a huge amount, so you end up wanting lots of them covering a lot of area. They end up working as a nice supplemental source if you have the right area for them.
