Everyone knows Youtube "algorithmically demotes" people, but do I have the smoking gun that they're even screwing around with the views of random small users? Or is their system just inherantly buggy? Either way, this isn't the first time I've seen crazy changes and inconsistency in my Insight data.
Here you see that I randomly went from over 100 views one day, to ZERO views, to over 100 views the next. I've shown a 1-month graph as well, to show how my channel has been over 100 views for the past month, easily.
But wait, there's more... let's see what kind of unique users I'm getting:
... What? For most of the graph, unique viewers pretty closely matches actual views, but the day before and after my views drop to zero, I have zero unique users. On Feb 18th and Feb 20th, I had over 100 views with ZERO unique users? How is that possible?
I know for a fact that I got at least 20 views on February 19th, because that's the day I uploaded my cartoon, and it got that many views on that day alone. (Which criticizes Jello and McDonalds, if you want to get into conspiracy theories about this whole thing.)

How can views go down anyway?

The views shown in Insight aren't cumulative like they are on videos... every day at midnight, your views for the day set back to 0. It shows how many times all of your videos get viewed each day.
