Oh shit its on youtube!

Can I watch Infernal Affairs on youtube too?

Always wanted to see that since the Departed is one of my favorite movies.

Yep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug88n7gXyrs&list=PL1E837A6680BF14D1 in glorious 240p

You could watch it via Wii U on your tv but the quality... might want to watch it on the gamepad screen instead.

I think IA will be weird to watch since you've seen the Departed as the surprise moments you already know.

Let the Bullets Fly - China - Black Action Comedy

Story: A gang of bandits hijack and capture a governer and his wife heading for a new town to govern. They then pretend that the bandit leader is the governer in an attempt to extort the town of money. But when they arrive an evil crime lord has an iron grip on the town and a deadly set of mind games escalates as they try to one up each other.

This is the closest thing to an Asian Tarantino movie you'll ever see. It has the style, it has the wit and it has the dialogue. Aside from a shaky 40 minute start and one exhausting dinner table conversation, the film eventually pulls through to a smart, satisfying and smile inducing ending.

The Thieves - Korea -  Thriller/Heist movie

Story: Splashy action in overseas locations is mixed with double-dealings and multiple betrayals as a gang of South Korean thieves team up with a Hong Kong crew to steal a diamond necklace from a heavily guarded casino safe in Macau

At first, The Thieves comes across as a Korean Oceans 11 imitation, but don't be fooled, this superior thriller pulls a double bluff halfway through the movie and ends with a completely different vibe than what you were expecting. features one hell of a setpiece at the end with some nifty stuntwork and a satisfying end.

Tiger on the Beat - Hong Kong - 80s Action Comedy

Story: A seasoned cop and his rookie partner are a pair of mismatched partners in this Hong Kong action-comedy in the style of 'Lethal Weapon'. The wacky twosome are up in arms as they try to solve the murder of a heroin trafficker.

As long as you fully understand and accept that you're watching a goofy 80s movie, Tiger on the Beat can be tremendous fun. No it's not the best movie, that's an understatement, but it has an appealing amateurish charm to it. It's the kind of film where a shotgun trigger is attached to a string then flung around a blind corner to shoot someone. But the real reason to watch it is the chainsaw duel near the end:

I mean c'mon... a chainsaw duel, fizzying sparks and whirring gears, chopping up the damned set.

The Banquet aka Legend of the Black Scorpion (U.S name) - China - Wuxia - Drama

Story: Set in an empire in chaos. The Emperor, the Empress, the Crown Prince, the Minister and the General all have their own enemies they would like to finish off at a night banquet.

Up there with other similar films like Hero/Crouching Tiger/House of Flying Daggers, The Banquet features the most stunning set design you'll ever see. A stark, cold and gripping drama about life and death in the royal palace. Also features fight scenes by Yuen Woo Ping, but note, the fights are more stage art than action.

The Host - Korea - Monster movie - Black Comedy

Story: A monster emerges from Seoul's Han River and focuses its attention on attacking people. One victim's loving family does what it can to rescue her from its clutches.

This black comedy comes from acclaimed director of serial killer pic Memories of Murder and the upcoming Snowpiercer starring Chris Evans. Probably the best monster movie I've ever seen aside from Jaws, this film is exciting, funny and quirky.

Fun fact: WETA, LOTR effects house did all the effects

Young Detective Dee Rise of the Sea Dragon - China - Paranormal Kung Fu Detective

Story: From legendary action director Tsui Hark and the creators of international smash hit Detective Dee - Mystery Of The Phantom Flame comes the captivating tale of Dee Renjie's beginnings in the Imperial police force. His very first case, investigating reports of a sea monster terrorizing the town, reveals a sinister conspiracy of treachery and betrayal, leading to the highest reaches of the Imperial family.

Warning: The first 50 minutes of this movie is bunk, with pointless, overlong and motiveless kidnap attempts. Despite this, the film eventually recovers into being an entertaining, if somewhat outlandish, worthy prequel to the original Detective Dee movie. If you can put up with the obvious and ugly attempts to pander towards 3D cinema viewers, you might just enjoy this. *throws CGI knives into your PC screen*

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos - Japan - Movie

Story: In the lost holy land of Milos, the Elrics search for the truth behind an unknown form of alchemy. What secrets are hidden in Milos? Riddles must be solved and dangers faced before the truth can be found.

Finally, a movie up to the high standards set by the Brotherhood series. You don't need to have watched the series to get this but it helps if you've seen at least up to the lab 5 episodes in either series. Written by the creator of FMA this is a canon work, unlike that wretched Conquerer of Shamballa movie. Milos is set somewhere before the end of the series but there is no particular point you have to look out for, it just all fits perfectly. Superb animation, a catchy as hell theme song and the director of Code Geass. OVAs don't get much better than this.

Detective Dee: Mystery of the Phantom Flame - China - Supernatural - Period - Detective

Story: An exiled detective is recruited to solve a series of mysterious deaths that threaten to delay the inauguration of Empress Wu.

The first and best Detective Dee is a massively fun, inventive frolic, in a rare return to form from (Once Upon a Time In China) director Tsui Hark. Detective Dee blends action, drama, special effects and a pleasing who-done-it story into an very enjoyable, entertaining period romp.

The Gallants - Hong Kong - Martial Arts Comedy

Story: In modern day Hong Kong, a disempowered real estate agent meets with two old martial artists, who are being bullied by gang and his crew. The gang wants the old men to sell their lease on a teahouse which was used as a training dojo by their comatose master. When the Master suddenly wakes up from his 30 year coma, he's determined to restart his school by taking on the gang and its master.

An award winning film, that pays homage to the martial arts films of the 60s and 70s. You don't need to have seen much to get the references, as long as you've seen one badly dubbed 70s kung fu movie, you'll get it. This film recruits and uses the now-old, actors from yester year and puts them head on facing the new generation of bratish thugs. This is a very funny and enjoyable movie.

Brotherhood of the Wolf - France - Historial Horror

Story: In 18th century France, the Chevalier de Fronsac and his native American friend Mani are sent by the King to the Gevaudan province to investigate the killings of hundreds by a mysterious beast.

It's not often that I'll gladly sit down to watch a French film, but you'll no doubt agree that Brotherhood of the Wolf is well worth an evenings viewing. Stylish, cultish, smart and enjoyable, BOTW is a film you'll remember. There are guns, werewolves, Indians, horror, intrigue, the full package.
