Happy Hobo

Why the HELL doesn't Steam have any good Strategy or Sim games that can play on my MacBook?! Reading your Purchases always makes me jealous!

Do you usually get fighting games for both systems?

Ha!  That's certainly true.  Probably more than any game this year. Nyaa

Oh, I thought you were talking about Killzone. Nyaa

Dogfighter. $2.50

hobo

This was a pure impulse buy. I've never played any flight game, either simulator or arcade.

No, I've never played Pilotwings.

No, I don't regret my life because of it. LOL

However, the game looked interesting and I had a nice time with the demo. I might buy a flight stick.

Just got Tactic's Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for the PSP. Mrs. Aspro loves FFTactics, this is supposed to have been the inspiration for it (and an excellent re-make).  It was on sale for $27 USD.

I had a really hard time getting into that game. The menus/controls on the orignal PS1 version were just horrendous. Couldn't have been more complicated. If that got fixed though I bet it would have been a lot more fun.

Just got:

  • Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light  -- Almost forgot about this one. Where for art though, Ask?
  • WarioWare: D.I.Y. -- Never really like games where you make levels or games yourself, but if Aspro liked it...

It's kinda sad to me these two games may be my last Nintendo DS games... ever!

I saw 4 heroes on a shelf this past sunday. Was tempted to grab it, but I thought picking up a game at full price would betray my hobo lifestyle. I also almost picked up DQIX.

It seems to be incredibly rare. I almost never see it in stores. I got it from Amazon. Even with that being so, having not played 4 Heroes yet, I would STILL recommend DQIX first. SUCH. A. GOOD. GAME ! ! !

With Wario Ware the best fun comes from making games for a friend.  Cause by the time you finish making your own game you get sick of the actual game.  The tutorial is entertaining and effective.  The games that come with it are unlocked over time.  So taking all that into consideration you may or may not want to break the seal on it.

I ended up making about 15 games on it for Mrs. Aspro as a gift -- she loved it, it was about things in her life.  I make about 2 more for her each weekend, while watching TV or whatever.  Each game takes about 20-30 minutes to make, and does require some simple artistic ability.

4 Heroes of Light is a complete and utter piece of crap that never should have been made. The only people I can honestly recomend it to, are the sadists that enjoyed the FF3 DS remake. The graphics are unique and well done and there is a definite old school feel to the score. But after that fades away you'll be playing a game that moves at a snail's pace, has repetitive battles, and really feels like a story you've already played through a hundred times.

There's no need for regret, Steel! But I do feel sorry for you. Sad

I'm not playing 9 until I play 6,7 and 8.  If I jumped into 9 now I wouldn't have the skillums. (I am using the term skillums in an ironic fashion).
