I don't know. I didn't play the Wii U one enough to tell from screens.
Let me Google it.

It's 4k 60fps.
It looks new but I can't be certain.
another FF pic
I'm guessing it'll be a remaster with some added trakcs and features (the announced 'fusing' of vehicles. The fact that it nowhere clearly says it's a completely new game seems foreboding. I love FAST, but don't think I'd buy the same game for a 4th time.

Yakuza 0
I guess it's also that Switch 2 is running it super smooth at a decent, native resolution.

This screen is so good I will probably play more handheld like with the OLED.
I feel like I'm being gaslit here so I'd like your opinion.
Now I know that Elden Ring runs at 4k with a wavering frame rate of 45 to 60fps with dips into the 20s on Ps5 and Xbox Series X - Digital Foundry
The Series S version is 2k essentially with a worse frame rate.
I'm expecting the Switch 2 version to run at no higher than 1080p 30fps with dips, thats my assumption. So I'm not talking about performance, just image quality or the detail of rendered assests in comparable scenes.
So long story short I came across some comparison footage and when pausing it I noticed some oddities.
For instance on the opening shot, for some reason the Switch version had more foliage and better detail on the rocks than the ps5 version. But stuff in the distance was better on ps5. It might not be like for like as level of detail has something to do with it, the Switch 2 footage is further back so is probably running a lower LOD for all the background stuff, which may pop into more detail when they swap the model out. But overall PS5 had obviously better resolution.
I nabbed a couple of pics from this comparison video.
Now to me, the hair, scarf, lips, tattoo, all look more detailed on the Switch 2 version. And to me it looks like DLSS as the hair has that almost hyper detailed shimmery look. But DF says there is no visible signs of DLSS in any Switch 2 game.
Okay then, gameplay in the only like for like comparable footage:
So first off the top left of both screens, the wooden spikes and trees appear more detailed in the Switch2 version. The PS5 had more foliage but it's lower quality. I assume this is a case of depth of field? Not being enabled in the Switch 2 version?
But now things get weird, look at the golden rectangular pillar and the stone slabs on the ground below it. Am I going crazy or does that look more detailed on Switch2?
I've also noticed similar oddities on the Streetfighter V video comparisons and it seems like it should be something that needs more investigation. There's also oddities in other games, for instance there's a scene in Cyberpunk where the shadow from a characters arm is rendered fully in the S2 version over the ps5. There's ambient occlusion on a rock texture that pops it up from flat in the ps5 version.
For Streetfighter 5 the Switch version seems hyper realistic and has more detail than the ps5 version. Some people speculated that it's because the Switch version lacks a light scattering effect the other versions have. Others speculate that it may be using DLSS 4s "hyper detail" mode.
Can't remember "exactly" what the feature was called.

Here's the video and here's the foliage and rock detail I mentioned above:

If an any doubt the Switch 2 version is more colourful, Ryu looks tanned AF.

Again I'm confused, yeah Ryu is now tanned AF in the Switch 2 version, but the detail seems higher on Switch 2? Has to be DLSS right?
Isn't this kind of a huge deal? A much lower powered system still able to spit out high detailed textures and models?

Is it a completely new FAST game, or another spruced up rerelease of the WiiU game though? Of all the images I've seen, only that last one doesn't look very similar to the tracks I remember.
