Galaxy 2 will be banned in Australia, because Peach has small boobs.

No visual difference on an HDTV this time.

SOOOOOOOOOO much more streamlined and FOCUSED!!!

Some of the new enemies I've seen in the first 2 or 3 levels are absolutely PERFECT!!!

EASILY better than the original!!!

Yup, I don't know what magic Nintendo used but Galaxy 2 is HD, well its not but I can't tell the difference. Best looking game on the Wii by a mile.

Played some more and every level is something new. I have no tried out the rock Mario, hot pepper Yoshi and this bird thing all awesome and add incredible variety. The levels have all been so well done, with a great mix of objectives and situations that never repeat. I love the new map, so many new levels are constantly opening up, you never have to stay in one place long. The first Galaxy was a  great translation of 2D Mario into 3D but this just knocks it out of the park.

I spent a good 10 minutes trying to reach this alternate route in the Yoshi pepper level, I know there is a secret that route. So I tried and tried and got there and all I got was a 1up and a bird thing telling me what a nice view it is from up there, ahhh! LOL I am sure that becomes useful later on. So far most of the secrets have involved the fat lumas that eat coins and become a new planet. Go to the planet and you find a hidden star. The only complaint I can find so far is like Galaxy there are still some really easy stars, some that take 2-3 minutes to get. A game with 240 of them I shouldn't be complaining. You won't believe how many levels are constantly opening up, its just 3 stars per level at max it seems, makes room for way more galaxies.

It becomes clear from the first 20 minutes that this game is better than Galaxy.

are a lot of stars based on speed runs and racing shadow mario etc?  i didn't enjoy most of the prankster stuff in the first galaxy.  just seemed like they were trying to get more mileage out of the same levels

Most of the prankster comets were awesome. They were some of the best challenges in the game. Without them the game would be too easy.

You know the ending statement of Eurogamer's Galaxy 2 Review hits the nail on the head.

"You can't really complain about more of the same, when the same is the one thing it never is."

This is true for Galaxy 1 also. Basically the formula of both Galaxy games is to be inventive. Try a cool new twist, and the next level try another. Nintendo can't change this formula, because it would be a step backwards. It would be" Do not constantly innovate. No one wants that.

But they don't need to change the formula, because it is limitless. In space everything can happen. Heck they could even make a Gears of Wars Galaxy or a real time strategy level if they wanted to. So the setting is pretty much set for all future Mario games I imagine.

The next step would probably be trying to perfect what Nintendo tried since the first Mario Bros game. Co-op Mario and Luigi play, the closest to perfection was New Super Mario Bros Wii when it comes to co-op. Another room for improvement is going back to the 2D power-up structure. They already returned to the 2D map system, so this is the only thing left.

Will be interesting to watch were Mario goes next. Next stop 3DS.

Wow! I just love the orchestrated music! So epic, beautifully done, and amazing!

Even though I was slightly disappointed in NSMBW, I am quietly hoping that somewhere Nintendo is working on a NSMBW2 which will hopefully have more inventive and adventurous level design and will come out before the end of the Wii's lifetime.

Why? Galaxy 2 like Galaxy  has probably the best designed 2d and 3d levels of any Mario game. Now go play sin and Punishment 2 and post some impressions, it is lonely there.

i'm not complaining about Galaxy 2 at all.  i feel happy and thankful that it exists and i can't wait to get to play it.  was just expressing my wish for what the next console mario game would be in reply to your asking where mario goes next.  i like nintendo releasing proper mario games every 2 years (or less) rather than every 8 (or more)

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AMERICA GETS TO PLAY THIS ON MONDAY.

I THOUGHT THE UK AND THE US HAD A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP? APPARENTLY THIS DOESN'T EXTEND TO GAMES.

YOU HAVE BROKEN THE TREATY

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE WARS, BRITAIN OPTS OUT BECAUSE OF THIS INJUSTICE.

FU

On behalf of all Australians, I would kindly like to ask GamingGeek to shut the fuck up and not bitch about the release date for Mr Gay's Revenge, for that is our very justified right.

Furthermore, on behalf of all Australians, I would also like to tell Nintendo to kindly GO FUCK THEMSELVES for making Australians having to wait so long for this game.

But you don't even own a Wii.

And... is Mr Gay's Revenge a new movie where Leo rips you to pieces with a pickaxe, for cheating on him?

Dvader, US...... hey! I hate you!
