Rumor: Necro Felipe Shares The Most Detailed Switch 2 Specs Leak Yet
“T239 SoC
TSMC N4 node process (4 nanometre?) (GG: Digital Foundry thinks 8nm, Famiboards thinks Samsung 5nm)
8-core A78C CPU, clock rates unknown, don’t know what’s meant by GA10F (this could be the GPU line)
12 stream multiprocessor GPU, performance ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 TFLOPs docked and 1.7 to 2.0 TFLOPs handheld (GG: Resetera said base ps4 handheld, ps4 pro docked, before DLSS is applied)
12 or 16GB RAM, LPDDR5x DRAM (GG: 12gb is confirmed)
100GB/s memory bandwidth docked and 88GB/s handheld
Memory cache specifics uncertain, Tegra GPU cores may be able to access CPU cache
Display is 8″ screen with 1080p and 60hz refresh rate (GG: rumoured to be 2 skus, hopefully one has an OLED screen)
Internal storage either 256 or 512GB (GG: 256gb UFS confirmed)
Cartridge specifics unknown, but 3D-NAND may provide a cost-effective way to significantly increase storage
Expanded/external(?) storage and battery details remain unknown
(GG: micro sd card express confirmed, 9x faster than standard micro sd cards up to 900mbps)
Additional details referring to DLSS, Reflex and Ray Tracing with favourable comparisons to RTX 3000 graphic cards, full HD (1080p) on handheld mode, a 512GB internal storage ceiling and 500GB storage potential on cartridges utilising 3D-NAND technology
FDE: Fast decompression engine similar to ps5
Tensor cores for artificial intelligent upscaling
Hardware based Ray tracing built in
(GG note: DLSS 4 is confirmed for all rtx series cards so should work on Switch 2 minus the frame generation)
--------
Digital Foundry speculates that Switch 2 will have base ps4 power in rendering but enhanced by all the modern features.
DF says that because of the rendering time, 4k DLSS is only feasible for 30fps titles. Moores Law is Dead said the internal Nvidia goal was 4k at 30fps. Next handheld said there was a 4k 30fps cap.
Ray tracing is built in hardware based.
Switch 2 likely to get DLSS 4, won't get frame generation but the rest of it looks likely.
Digital Foundry recently just talked about this.
Alex shares his insights about DLSS4 on Switch 2 viability
Alex:
I think if they're going to be running stuff on switch 2
constantly it'll be more akin to the older dlss CNN model which is uh going
to be faster on older RTX like Ampere and whatnot which this would be and as we already saw before as Rich has talked
about uh diss if it was the standard model would still even in the older version be very expensive on switch Yeah
so I don't think they're going to run something even more expensive I'd be very curious to see what like Transformer model diss looks like on a RTX 2050.
Thursday is the day, right? I want a Prime 4 release date announcement soon.
And that Microsoft may port Indiana Jones. Jez Corden of Windows central and Tom Warren of the Verge says Microsoft will port way more games, to both switch 2 and PlayStation.
All will be revealed!
all Switch 2 leaks will be shown to have been an elaborate ruse by Nintendo and it Alarmo will be revealed to be their actual next home console. It'll be updated to run Gamepass and the original Doom, but no virtual console because the emulation would be too technically challenging and Nintendo can't be arsed.
This will also mark the return of Nintendo into the adult entertainment business they left after they sold their love hotels, with various 'stimulating' perhiperals to be sold that can work in tandem with Alarmo's motion sensing capabilities. 8 controllers will be able to connect to Alarmo's bluetooth at once for 'multipartner multiplayer'. The Mii Plaza will return, with the ability to directly upload video's from Alarmo, but no voice chat to keep thing safe for users of all ages.
Is screen sharing where you allow others to play your game, maybe progress during a difficult part?
"Ubisoft also seems to be betting a lot on the console, as ports of Assassin's Creed Mirage and Assassin's Creed Shadows are in the works, and the publisher is also looking into porting more titles. According to French News TV Channel BFM TV, these ports are real, are not being developed by the original studios, are ambitious, and will take advantage of the console's power. The Shadows port, however, will not be released until the end of the year to polish the experience as much as possible."
New console reveal!!! Wooo! Exciting times. But I expect it to be so similar to switch that it won't be that interesting. Games is what I am here for, oh and information on when I can get it.
We don't know if they're legit but it equates to 1.3 teraflops handheld and 3.2 teraflops docked.
It doesn't mean much in that the Asus Rog Ally is supposedly 8 terflops which digital Foundry laughs at.
For reference steam deck is 1.6 teraflops.
So DLSS on top will probably make games look broadly comparable.

The approximate teraflop performance is calculated.
It's more powerful than a ps4 when handheld and roughly a teraflop below Xbox Series S, before DLSS is applied.
There's still info we don't know.
We now know it has 2 RTX ray tracing cores and 48, 3rd generation tensor cores for Artificial Intelligence.
