It was not televised here, so I was sitting watching the boxscore with F5.

Congrats to LA, awesome game 7. It was ugly but so hard fought that it was intense as hell. I thought the Celtics had it and the Lakers entered a super defense shut down mode that was unbelievable. The Celtics didn't know what to do.  And what a team effort, Kobe was totally off, during the first half he was hurting the team more than helping it. But he adjusted in the fourth and focused more on defense and rebounding and helped the team win in a supporting role. Honestly I didn't think the Lakers had that will and defensive prowess to claw back and finish a team like the Celtics, they proved me wrong.

I think this will be the last Laker championship for a while, unless they can attract some major stars.  They have a fair few question marks in their roster as they approach the off season.  I also think Phil's going to walk as well.

Unless... Labron comes to LA.  But I don;t think the NBA would let that happen.

I had the Lakers in 5, it would have been 6 if not for that ridiculous game the refs gave to the Celtics early in the series (where they shot 44 free throws to the lakers 21).

The NBA is fixed in the playoffs, that's for sure, but sometimes a team can overcome the opposing team *and* the refs, and the best team wins -- as was the case this year.

I cant believe E3 is over. I feel like I haven't seen anything. I am watching many many hours of E3 on G4 I have tivoed. So i will react to what I see.

First is SW The Old Republic. It looks nice for an MMO. They talk about the different classes. They said it is possible to play through the story basically solo if you want to play like that, which I like. Talked about how every person gets their own ship. I saw the combat, looked ok. I know I would love this game, I am scared what an MMO like this would do to me. So I am happy I have the computer barrier. But if this comes to consoles i will get it.  Wow this footage of the sith planet! This is almost an action game, I want this!

Now Call of Duty helicopter scene. They learned about actual black ops missions from recently declassified files and then they maded up their own stuff. Graphically stunning, this is an on rails explosion bonanza. Wait you control the helicopter HOLY SHIT!

Dead Rising 2. Its Dead Rising but with new weapons and better graphics.Such an ackward interview, this dev guy is boring as hell. Time limit thing is back, its the same damn game.

Bulletstorm time, hey its a hot producer. Looks like a ton of fun. Helicopters blowing up, plant in the environment that eats people, awesome. Yeah this is awesome, its like Madworld only a million times better. Giant plant boss!! This is impressive.

Twisted Metal, interesting environments. They are driving through a huge theater, a stadium, world looks huge. Jaffe is talking about how  they want to introduce classed based TM. David Jaffe is circumsized. Probably not for me. And now its time for more Twisted Metal, ok. He is still talking about his penis to Olivia Munn. Motorcycle dude with chainsaw, lots of cars driving around, ok. Jaffe says its not Team Fortress its still fast paced but its smarter. It looks a bit rough, clearly not finished. Oliva  thinks Morgan Webb looks hot in the red dress, as you can tell this interview is great, better than the game.

Rock Band 3, screw the game who is this red head reporter, wow, great english accent. Something is happening with a keyboard, who cares. You can have 7 players at once. New segment, red head chick has crazy arm controller thing, wtf?! Its like a power glove for both arms, its crzay and probably sucks.

YAY Portal 2! Sweet the dev confirms that the PS3 version will get all the updates the PC version gets.  Bigger story, NPC characters. Two modes single player and 2 player co-op, both separate unique games, each the same length, each twice as long as the first game. They are showing footage from the demo Valve had, did you guys see it yet cause it is the best thing I have seen at E3. These puzzles are mindblowing!!

Booth babe contest winner, cute, no way she is the hottest. She works at a gamestop, holy crap. Oh its a contest to become a booth babe, I get it now.

And now Marvel vs Capcom 3. Chris vs Dante, Wolverine came out and it went into a quick mini  cutscene before he unleashes the barrage. Woah the screen is crazy, colors are changing, lights everywhere, its beautiful! Air combos and team air combos, they want to make air combos easier, nice. The game is beautiful, better looking than SF4. Maybe more than 30 characters. I love Dantes move. LOL Deadpool will insult the player, he breaks the 4th wall in the game. Ok I like.

I will stop here for the night, I got a lot more to go through.

I think Cliffy B should probably have looked harder for good games. Of course you don't actually have to look hard for good Wii games.

Errr, I also said the best team won.  

I wasn't talking about this game, I was talking about the series.  The NBA wanted 7 games, they got them.  When it comes down to the last game, in my observation of finals and playoffs, the association and the refs let the teams just play and don't let the officiating get in the way.

If you have not done so already I'd recommend reading Phil Jackson's book The Last Season and see what he has to say about the Detroit Finals, or the Portland playoffs and you'll have a unique insight to NBA officiating.

I don't know about that but I will say that Nintendo once again proves that they're the kings of making innovative and cutesy creative games.

Loco Roco, Patapon, and yes, even Little Big Planet are pretenders or second rate compared to Nintendo's best!
