Yeah, It's starting to influence me. I have the urge to play Halo online. I've been tea-bagging this mug all morning.
FYI This story has been floating around. I did not post it yesterday as in addition to the NGP price it also had a release date of 1/1/2012, so the whole thing smacks of "placeholder".
The price may be right though, the Game Informer dude (Game Informer is owned by GameStop) said on the 8-4 podcast that it would be $249 for the "slim" and $299 for the 3G, fully loaded one (he then kind fo quickly back-pedaled indicating he had said too much).
Anyway, here's the rumor:
A screenshot of GameStop’s internal database shows that NGP may sell at the gaming retailer for $299.99.

Mukyou (via GamesRadar), it’s unknown if this is a confirmed price from the hardware manufacturer or just a much lower placeholder price than the previous $999.
It also shows 3DS going for $249.99, but considering a lot of people pay more for smartphones these days, nothing is going to be less than $200 at entry anymore it seems.
For reference, PSPgo, was also $250 and remember, PS3 cost upwards of $600 at one point.
Activision needs to be forbidden from buying any studios for a decade. They went through this with Tony Hawk, where they churned them out every year till no one cared. Did they learn their lesson with GH?

Yeah, that's why I think it's just a place holder and not the real deal (something to put in the computer for pre-oreder puposes).

its weird but i swear i post a message on here and later i check it out and it isn't here like its magic or maybe i don't post it but i don't get the love that dragon age and bioware get, i been playing it for a few hours and now only is leveling up so slow but no matter what weapon i use all i do is hit x in combat over and over and maybe square key to use a special attack then back hiting x, if it wasn't for the hot witch chick i'd stopped playing its so dull
Your problem is that you play it on console then. Although I thought it's boring on PC too, it doesn't hold a candle to the infinity engine games.

I decided to give the Bulletstorm Demo another try before deleting it from my Hard Drive, and I am SOOO glad I did! I don't know why it didn't click with me the first time, but... DAMN!
NOW I found it sooo adrenaline pumping and addicting that I am actually counting down the days to the 22nd! The electric tether and charged weapon shots, when used in conjunction, are AWESOME and DEADLY! THIS is the type of game I'd lke to see everyone playing together around here! I've actually put off playing Gears 2 for now, cause I want THIS to be the next SHOOTER I play! I CAN'T WAIT!

Definitely something I look to be picking up. Really dug the demo. But I think that hits here the same day as Killzone, so I gotta take priorities :3
Dialogue helps. Dragon Age is actually quite funny, and the banter between your party members is what helps sell the game to me.
But I'll admit, it's not as good as their Infinity Engine stuff.
You know, I keep looking at my dusty Wii, then to GameStop.Com, then back to my dwindling selection of Wii titles (DCKR, Kirby, Shiren and Sin & Punishment 2), then back to GameStop.Com...
I'm looking for FUTURE compelling Wii titles...

Wii Successor at E3 MUST BE a guaranteed thing.
^ E3 2011: Nintendo announces Wii HD! But it won't come out until Holiday 2012. Zelda Wii will be delayed for Wii HD, and the current Wii library will completely dry up leaving us with nothing to play until then. It's happened before . . . *sigh*
I'm not sure what you're expecting. All recent Nintendo interviews, share holder reports, etc, talk about several unannounced Wii projects and no intention of any successor any time soon. It's just how Nintendo is now. Outside a few key titles (like Zelda), they only announce games a few months before release, so it's early for them to show anything beyond Q1 2011 releases (which are admitedly scarce, but, 3DS launch etc). Like Pandora's Tower that they just announced a couple weeks ago yet is getting released this spring (in Japan). DKCR was first shown at E3 2010 and released 5 months later. This is not the Wii's first dry spell. 2010 looked grim too, but turned out to be one of its best years. E3 will hopefully be good with stuff like The Last Story finally announced. Still, they're just one publisher, they won't ever have a huge amount of titles to showcase.
