I DL'd the demo (which took 9 hours - no joke). It was short, but enjoyable. A little too easy, but enjoyable due to the content. For whatever reason I was expecting more graphical flourish and a 2D set. I'd buy the full version, but since the demo took so long to download, I'm guessing the full game is off limits.
After "playing" Bad Day LA, Alice McGee is dead to me.

Okay, so for the rest of you outside Australia, I fully understand why you don't know or care about our games down here, but our ratings currently only go up to R. So the government, who rates games, as opposed to the US where it is a voluntary industry association does it, thinks that video games are only for children.
Which means any video game that is not appropriate for children is banned. Yeah, banned. those in the US may have to look that up, since "banned" is not something that happens a lot in the US, if ever. I mean, you can buy an assualt weapon at a trade show without a background check and picket a soldiers funeral with homophobic placards in the states -- here we can't buy Leisure Suit Larry.
Sigh... in any case, the government here thinks that games are only for children, even though they retail for $80-120 each (keeping in mind that the Au dollar is at parity or above the USD).
Hopefully in July this will be changed, but in the meantime, Australia is redefining what it means to be a "nanny-state" and as an adult I feel that the goverment is particularly stupid in it's classicfication of me as being "child" for playing video games.
They're on PS3. I'm on both...
