Really, its like those Resident Evil HD pics.....it looks like fucking Splinter Cell from 8 years ago on the Xbox!
I've played the original Splinter Cell this year on the XB, and it didn;t look as bad as those shots above. It looked great, just a bit jaggy.
I'll do you one better. Never played a Splinter Cell title.
Perhaps it's because I'm a Metal Gear dork, or perhaps I'm still mad at Ubi for making Rainbow Six into a much more standard shooter...but never quite got around to it.
This is true. I was just being kind and giving it the benefit of the doubt.
If you have the means to do so, I HIGHLY recommend checking out The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile!
Not only is it dark and beautiful, it is a HELL of a lot of fun to play! At it's heart, it is a side-scrolling brawler with elements of Devil May Cry mixed in, but there's so many intricacies that make it so much MORE than just another side-scroller, I don't even know where to begin!
The art-style is very unique. It is NOT just black and white; color is used to TREMENDOUS effect. Either you are seeing blood fly (and is ever oh so bright contrasted against the muted colors of the background!)... OR you are seeing blue Sparks flicker, which means you are hitting your enemies and you have the potential for combos and finishing moves! Your combos and finishers can end with the press of the X, Y or B buttons and the color of the buttons stand out (they are displayed on screen) ALSO very brightly against the backgrounds. It makes inputting your combos that much more easy! You just have to see it all in motion to get it. Most still screens just seem to accentuate the black and white!
The gameplay is diverse. You move like a ninja, but you are (I assume) a Vampire. You can double jump, run up walls, and blood warp (you dissolve into blood mist to pass obstacles and enemies). You start with a sword, but you get more and more weapons as the game goes on. You get a machine gun arm. You get a chain-saw. You get various different types of swords that you can switch between and combo into and out of. Yeah. You even get a 'Cloud Sword' and it looks exactly as you would expect it to! The description of this sword is hilarious! It is something like "Bring down the fury of the heavens with this sword, whose name has nothing to do with anything else!" or something...!
You get food to replenish health. You get objects to equip, like Talismans that make you do more damage to the undead. You get different types of ammunition... For a side-scrolling brawler the arsenal is pretty damn impressive!
The action is fast paced and frantic. The enemies vary from biological, to robotic, to undead and gruesome! There are secret areas to uncover and you almost don't know what to expect around each corner. There was one secret area that I found that threw me into a Guitar Hero like rhythm mini-game! It was an awesome metal style tune! I am not familiar with the 360 buttons as I am with the Dual Shock! I was holding my breath the entire time, but managed to make only 4 or 5 mistakes and pull of a 93% and get a bonus item as a result! In other rooms, you'll be given count-down timers to kill a number of enemies and there doesn't seem to be a shortage of bosses to fight either!
I can't believe this is the work of ONE guy!? It just oozes with style, is a HELL of a lot of fun, and is unlike almost anything else out there. It's almost like the Limbo of beat-em-ups, but it is actually SOOO much more exciting than the creepy little puzzler...
GIVE IT A TRY AND SUPPORT AN INDIE DEVELOPER!
*More coming as I play more!*
"Anonymous, offended by Sony's conduct in litigation against the hacker George Hotz, initiated the attack earlier this week. Sony yesterday conceded that an outside cyber-attack may have been the source of network outages this week, but didn't blame Anonymous specifically, probably not wishing to give it publicity."

I sooo hope they and G e o H o t z get what's coming to them in the end... and I mean that literally if Mr. H o t z ever gets any jail time! For them to cause ME problems when I am just trying to relax and play a few games... They are sociopathic misfits with high tech toys and a penchant for bullying people online JUST as they obviously were in their grade-school locker rooms. They are the very typification of becoming what you hate the most. Pathetic. Immature. LOSERS! If they think they are the "little guys" fighting "the Man" they are even more delusional than most of the dudes living in their parent's basement playing WoW!
*I'm a tiny bit angry!*
Have you tried the connection out today?
Yes, and it worked!
Awesome! I'll be playing some Unchated tonight.
What time?
*I'll play, if I am able, but I am starting to develop QUITE the post-alcohol head-ache at the moment!*
Right now. I'm about to imbibe, myself.
He had nothing to do with that.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobilethere is no justice in the world or they would have slit grohotz neck and left his bloody worthless body in a dumpster with a note tacked to his chest saying" heres the worthless cropse of a douche and a hacker" just to make a statement
That's not justice for anyone, let alone someone who in any sane legal system has done nothing illicit. In this instance, he cracked the hardware DRM on the PS3; that's it. Also note that he's a key figure in the IOS jailbreaking, which I haven't really seen by anyone (other than Apple) as a bad or wrong thing, yet it is identical what's been done with the PS3.
You want douchebaggery? How about Internet tough guy death wishes.

Good game tonight, guys. I'm so glad you got to join us, Leo!
Yoda, do you have Uncharted 2? I invited you, but I wasn't sure if you had the game or not.
Anyone who drives up the prices of the games I pay for legally (pirates) or slows down PSN (to make a political point) is an asshole. Anonymous did it in the name of GeoHot. They are both assholes.
Yeah, it was great to get Leo on! Sorry I was not able to go longer, Mrs. wanted the PS3 for Yakuza, and I'd been playing RE5 all morning.
I don't think he has it, but just as a note, the multiplayer in UC2 does NOT spoil the main game in any way. So even if you (general) have not played the campaign the multiplayer is okay to play.
No problem! I just enjoy the little time we do have in a game. I'm never competitive about these things, just having fun.
