They are unrelated.  And neither parties have done anything with regard to piracy on the PS3.

So someone who provides the tools to pirate is not affiliated with pirates?  I guess.  That's what the NRA says about gun manufacturers, so same logic.  Personally, I think if you provide the tools you are as culpable as the person who uses them.

Right, so drug companies behind sleeping pills, and manufacturers of rope are responsible for suicides, knife makers responsible for murder, car companies responsible for drunk drivers, electric companies for police brutality with tasers, and sugar companies for obesity.  I related it to the IOS jailbreak for a reason; he didn't create a mod-chip.  He opened the platform.  What people do with it is their own decision.  People use Wii homebrew to do backups, for example.  By implying wrongdoing by making that possible, you're implying that ought to be illegal.

I never claimed it was for Linux, just that it isn't an act of piracy, but of (what should be) legitimate personal use (by itself).

And I'd disagree with all of those (Openheimer, maybe out of collusion of genocide).  You're trying to outlaw ideas.  But at least I can respect the consistency.

But he does (claim it for Linux). And yes, I do want to outlaw ideas that denigrate the value of life. I may be wrong, but as you can acknowlege I am (at least) consistent.
