Wow, what an incredible preview, thanks. As someone who loved Castle of Illusion and Mickeys Magical Quest this is nirvana to read about.
"As Chad explained in his preview, the connection to Castle is quite strong. Mickey's gait is similar, he performs the same butt stomp attack (with the same Genesis sound effect, no less!), and he encounters the same low-level mushroom critters. Best of all, the music in the opening area is an orchestral arrangement of Castle's forest theme! When I heard it, I let out such a mirthful laugh that one of the demonstrators walked on over to ask what was so funny!"

I am completely exhausted today after all this PC shit over the past few days.
What a headache it is, not just building a pc, but then installing everything, getting it to run correctly, transferring data from hard drives, etc.
I fucked up somehow on my itunes and steam libraries....all my music and game saves are nowhere to be found. Ugh...
Who's superior now bitch? That's right, console owners.
Ahh the joy of a new build PC .... not looking forward to it had this one since July 05 both CD and DVD roms are dead but they were from an 2001 build LOL. soon I'm to have no choice I do have a newere external 1 tera drive incase it all dies everything important is backed up on there. Still has 950 mega bytes even with that and 350 CDs transfered to MP3s.
Borderlands two is a blastathon, so much fun. I have to tell you though it starts to get a lot tougher. Robots are freaking tough I need better weapons.
My PSN is fixed for now full gigabyte in 10 minutes thats more like it !
SEGA also didn't have much money. What were the four games they commisioned? Infinite Space, Bayonetta, MadWorld and Vanquish right? I bought them all and I am sure a few more of you did but I think only Bayonetta was a commercial success.
Sega owns some of that sales failure though. Somewhere down the line they lost their ability to promote a game. You don't have to look further than Valkyria Chronicles ot Crush to see they don't know how to market a new IP even when it gets outstanding reviews. So when Platinum comes at them with a bunch of new games it sort of seems preordained. Kind of sad considering how good they were at marketing/promotion once upon a time.
Yeah, that was what the
was for. Platinum is in so many way the spiritual outcome of what SEGA once was as a developer, so the whole situation is just a bummer. SEGA really is on the verge of becoming Atari (in the sad, the-only-thing-left-is-the-name-kind of way).
They had the nouse to back Platinum for four games, lacked the money or will to promote them and although they were diverse, creative and in some cases brilliant, were left to die on the vine -- just as if SEGA had developed them themselves.
Oh and I forgot Anarchy Reigns too. What did that end up selling? 27K (something like that).
Vader, X-COM demo is on Steam today (the Firaxis one, not the shooter).
I am afriad my laptop wont handle it.
