At 9 mins 50 he kicks that character and nothing happens. The camera is a little loose in the game. Jakes campaign, I don't know what I am watching here, this is not RE. What is with the damned blurring of the character when you aim? It looks TERRIBLE like they swap out for a low poly model. The game sorta looks okay, but Brad says it took many hours of play for him to be able to play it like this.
Holy crap, is that a shot of the next Mario Kart? Holy fuck does that ever look good. For the record, once that is out I will fuck everyone up. . . kinda sad that the only game I can talk smack in is Mario Kart..... think I'm gonna have a good cry.
Sorry, it's a fake from this:
I was just checking to see who was awake.
But you know Mario Kart is going to be on the system, it's almost guaranteed, in fact forget almost, it IS guaranteed.
Another Zombi U gif
First pics of the HD version
I know man. The camera is worse than it looks also....aiming and adjusting the view is way more of a pain in the ass than any previous game, and the character, while not only blurry, seems to take up much more of the screen than even Roid Redfield in RE5.
The gameplay just looks soulless. Run around and kill dozens of dudes that aren't monsters or zombies for no apparent reason while fighting the controls and camera and being accompanied by some cookie cutter, just for the hell of it secondary character in boring, lifeless environments. This to me is one of the great disappointments in gaming history.
Luckily, I have tons of other games to play.
Must trade in Wii version now.
I just went and preordered Ninja Gaiden 3, Darksiders 2, Black Ops 2, and a pro controller for the Wii U.
Launch day is set in stone.
In that video there is a part where Jake is facing 3 characters in a smallish corridor, not that small, no smaller than anything in RE4. And the camera goes nuts. The video looks okay, I mean I cannot see anything terrible or anything it just looks a little bland like it could be any HD game. Jake seems overpowered, he just runs through bullets up to a guy and smacks him with an overpowered punch.
Japan: 3DS retail games hitting eShop
Bring back the fucking survival horror. I want puzzles, I want creepy atmosphere. I want horrific creatures that don't shoot guns. I want the fear of the unknown. I want character progression. I want a cast of characters I actually care about.
Brad didnt know how to roll for 10 hours, frankly that is pathetic. He has no idea what he is doing, of course he doesn't like it.
Hey don't knock it, Aspro played a whole game with a broken controller right?
They said on the video that the game is really bad on teaching you how to do things and that there is no manual.
Totally right on the teaching but come on... he works for a game website, odds are he has played previews and demos that show you the control scheme.
I think he's got some valid points, just because he didn't know how to roll doesn't mean everything he says is shit. I'm sure we've all played games before and discovered a feature or move we didn't know about before.
Giantbombcast spent the first 1hour and 16 minutes on RE6 yesterday. Brad was pretty convincing, he seemed to really want to love the game going into it. He said that he finally snapped after the cemetery level.
Too many cooks in the kitchen, fundamentally broken controls, worst QTEs this gen, convoluted story, pointless callbacks to RE 2 and 3 without improving on them. Not even as good playing as RE 5. They say according to what I read.
I think the worst thing I have read is that much of the gameplay has been stripped out in favor of the QTE's and set pieces...like they were trying to copy Call of Duty's design or something. News flash: THAT IS THE WORST PART ABOUT CALL OF DUTY!!!!
Call Of Duty can get away with it though, because nobody plays COD for the fucking campaign! They play it for the multi-player and the Special Ops/ Zombie modes! Why would you borrow the worst idea's from a shooter for what is supposed to be a very different kind of game with very different strengths? A game like Resident Evil is ALL ABOUT the campaign....all or nothing.
But Archie, you love almost everything.
Dumpster Diver.
Nothing at all.
I just know that when you say something is good, I may not necessarily agree with it as often as others saying something is good who have more of a preference in line with mine.
When I see you say something like "Well I thought that was great myself" I just chuckle and think "Of course you did" because you feel that way more often than not. Much more often than not.
