I don't know about you guys but what I've seen from Square/Konami/EA in their lists of E3 games has completely bored me. Even Square's new Deux EX is a iphone game.
I agree about Konami. If they did more 2D Castlevania (like the 6 GBA/DS ones not like the 3DS one), commissioned Contra 5, did new a new Gradius and/or something with their other shmup IPs etc I would care. I don't see it somehow.
PES is still a cash cow I suppose and it's the reason why they are still in business. MGS is more of a holy cow but I don't object to one of them being made every 5-6 years or so if they are good games. Silent Hill hasn't been relevant in donkey's years and Castlevania Lords of Shadow was the worst game I tried playing this whole generation.
This for real? That's their list of games? That's one conference I will most certainly not be watching.

New avatar up for grabs
They need to stick with a decent Silent Hill team instead of this directionless team and game style swapping.
Here is Square's E3 lineup:
2 games are mildly interesting to me, one of them is an old port. All the FF stuff has no sway to someone not interested in FF13
Each company will probably at least have 1 surprise game. Maybe 2.

Major Nelson says:
Scary all the negative Xbox One editorials today. These policies effect every gaming journalist and gamer worldwide so every one has a rant.
I think you can sum up the articles with this image
A few of the editorials have mentioned how Sony have been suspiciously silent during this period and how they previously said that PS4 will have a used game block publishers can use if they want.
"At a roundtable this morning, Sony's game studios chief, Shuhei Yoshida, told reporters that any requirement for users to register a game online in order to play it would be left to game publishers. Sony won't require that."
So this is exactly the same as Microsoft saying: It's up to publishers.
This is speculation but I get the impression that MS and Sony had heavy involved consultations with publishers about what they wanted in a next gen console and the executives shouted back: "We want money from used games, or DRM" etc.
So Sony and MS might have been pandering to publishers instead of thinking about gamers swallowing a rather large pill.
It's also relevant to the tinfoil hat conspiracy theory about publishers trying to sideline Wii U with no DRM protection.
Publishers remain quiet on Xbox One pre-owned fees, Major publishing firms not ready to declare position
The way I see it, is that when one big publisher opts into this the rest will fall like dominos. Activision and EA are the big ones, if one signs up the other is certain to follow and then....
...the world Pinky.
The answers will have to come out before launch for launch games. But more worrying is that these guys can change their mind anytime they want - 2 year into Xbox 1 ownership suddenly there will be a press release: Take Two now charging for used games or whatever and there will be nothing you can do.
Activisions E3 focus:
"The publisher intends to highlight three games at the expo this year: Call of Duty: Ghosts, Skylanders: Swap Force, an Destiny. The first two will be playable; the latter will not."
Are you guys saying the east coast is not civilised?
I seriously hope Sony's quietness on PS4 has nothing to do with them following MS on this anti consumer agenda. And if they were thinking about it, I hope they have totally abandoned it after the negative backlash against Micro$oft.
If they have some kind of similar thing going on, I'm not sure what I will do gaming-wise. Possibly go Wii U, PC, and retro gaming? I'm not supporting any kind of crap on a game console that #1 Prevents me from truly OWNING what I buy, and #2 will make my game console unplayable in the future when its online servers are shut down.
Wait so this new Legacy of Kain game isn't made by Crystal Dynamics? Its some kind of weird Kain version of The Old Republic? FUCK YOU!!! Give me a real Kain game!!!! Fucking piece of shit assholes!!!
New Deus Ex is an Ipad game? FUCK YOU!!!!!
Destiny not playable at E3? EAT SHIT AND DIE!!!!!
This may be the worst E3 ever...prepare yourselves for the subjugation.
I'm hoping they were taking a wait and see approach. The capability is there, but I'd like to think they're seeing all the shit MS is getting (and is even doubling up on due to the whole PRISM fiasco).
