The critical flaw in Vader's logic is assuming that the PS4 will not break or die during the lifespan of the console's support. Neither my PS2 or PS3 made it past 4 years so I have my doubts that most PS4s will either.
True....I just have visions of a nice Metal Gear Bundle package like they did with the PS3 being the perfect time to grab one.
The longer you have it, the more chance it has of breaking down though, like you said. Especially these early models...who knows what may happen over time. They could have a shit lens that will only last for 6 months or a fucked chipset that will rupture after so many hours. I just don't need to take the chance right now just to have it is all.
I'm glad Vader has his and is enjoying it though.

It will cost Sony billions to rectify this problem by recalling millions of PS4's to stick a few extra pieces of rubber under their hardware...

I'm fairly impressed with AC4 on U this year it held up quite well in the comparison video today. PS4 was obviously the best but you could see Wii U was above current gen, more detail, vegitation, better lighting and textures. And it seems to have some of the next gen weather and water effects of the PS4 version.
Weather stood out as the biggest difference between PS4 and the rest.
