~~Disney Magical World - Reviews
Cheat CC - 4.8/5
I wasn't just waxing nostalgic in this review's introduction when I said that Disney Magical World is a game for everyone. In fact, I'd say it's more appropriate for teenagers and adults than it is for children. The sheer number of collectibles, increasing difficulty of missions, and challenge to acquire every Happy Sticker isn't really a feat for kids. It's for people who have loved these characters for years. It's the kind of game that can only be called charming.
Nintendo World Report - 8.5/10
Disney Magical Worlds isn’t groundbreaking, and its lack of a central story arch, while liberating, strips it of a certain depth found in the Rune Factory series. However, this is a game that will surprise and appeal to a wide audience, not to mention keep players occupied for a long time. It’s fun and innocent, staying true to the Disney message and aesthetic while delivering a quality experience that will certainly ring true to the young and young at heart.
Nintendo Life - 8/10
Every young gamer needs a place to start. Disney Magical World isn’t going to appeal to everyone with a 3DS, but it’s a fantastic way to introduce its audience to a variety of genres in an easily digestible and family-friendly package. There are minor technical hiccups and imperfect visuals, but these are far from game breaking and are issues that can easily be overlooked when considering everything else offered here. Disney fans are sure to love interacting with their favourite characters and exploring their worlds, and those who enjoy life simulators will get a kick out of the variety in gameplay. If you’re beginning to get burnt out on Animal Crossing and you’re seeking something similar that also manages to feel fresh, Magical World is the perfect way to start a new life once again.
Examiner - 4/5
For all of its shortcomings, “Disney Magical World” is a fun “Animal Crossing”-inspired title that makes the most of its license. If you have a forgiving and patient heart and can get past the prologue, you’ll find it a rewarding and fun experience.
Digital Chumps - 7.6/10
The collect-a-thon nature of gathering stickers to open new worlds calls to mind platformers of old, which makes this title a double-dose of nostalgia if the player is a Disney guru who grew up playing 90’s platformers. The marketing materials promise downloadable levels and that other content is down the pike, which lends hope that the game will continue being supported beyond its launch period (though parents will definitely want to keep an eye on their kids’ eShop wallet). For the swath of people who are bound to pick up Disney Magical World and will surely love it, that’s terrific news.
Seems like they're going more for different art styles to reflect the games each character hails from, as opposed to more of a singular art style for all (most) characters. If anything, this shows that Wii Mario looked more impressive then WiiU Mario. Yeah, better aliasing, better lighting, and some extra polygons on Mario's ears for good measures, but nothing that'll impress a layman.
Leo! Borderlands....on the moon!!

I started playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes and I'm loving it. While certainly not a hard game it's just really a lot of fun. Being a big Marvel fan there's just something so child-like and joyus seeing the universe and characters in Lego form. The gameplay is solid and the voice acting great. The writing seems pretty good and I've found myself chuckling a few times now.
I just finished Infamous I am shocked at how much of a downgrade this is to the first two infamous games. Its not even close, this is a poor sequel. First its like half an Infamous game, it feels unfinished. It has the shitties "side quests" I have ever seen, just cut and paste all over the city. I don't even think the action feels as well done, it just feels more sloppy here.
The first two games, the first one in particular still had platformer DNA in it. Many of the best moments came from simply finding how to reach that shard. Some levels were designed around gigantic structures that you had to climb and fight on, leading to uncharted like moments where climbing and combat were one. Here its just fly everywhere and simply run in circles while you fight.
I am very disappointed.
Oh really. I really enjoyed the first one until I platinumed it then I felt like that was it for me with the franchise so I never got around to picking up the second game. While Second Son looks amazing I still never got very excited about it. It has been some time since I played the first game and the second game is dirt cheap so I might give it a go now and see if my fatigue for this franchise has lessened any.
Just play the second one, much better.
It looks like there's a huge announcement on the horizon from Atlus.... well huge for me. It's been leaked that Atlus has picked up Citizens of Earth and will be publishing it!!!
Over the fall I made a thread about notable Kickstarter projects, and this was one I profiled as it was getting mentions from IGN and several other game sites. It's kind of like Earthbound meets... something. I dunno. Tough to explain. It's an RPG where basically you recruit anyone off the street to be in your party. So basically the NPC's who would just give you directions are now going to be your characters. Looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately the Kickstarter failed, but the game managed to get Atlus' attention, so it's still coming out. It's also giving me some hope that maybe Sega really is keeping their hands off of Atlus and letting them just do their thing.
More details will come out tomorrow or so, but if anyone else was curious about the game you can read about it on their old Kickstarter page - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/499609193/citizens-of-earth-a-modern-rpg
**EDIT** It's now official. Atlus just announced it on their Facebook page. Woo-hoo!
That's a real bummer about the Second Son. I really had high hopes for that. Not that I'm planning on getting a PS4 anytime soon, but I know eventually I will.
Also, it looks like the PS4 shortages are over. I've seen them all over town now. On the other hand I haven't seen many places that have Vita's in stock, however I think that's for a very different reason.
So Infamous supposedly the best looking game on PS4.
This video is me wandering the streets admiring the view.
How does that compare to MGS
I think its close and certain things MGS does better like framerate and character models.
What about BF4 and Shadow Fall?
lol yeah. Brawl characters are slightly more detailed, and the colour scheme is more dynamic. The new one is clean to the point of ugliness.
^ FPSs are graphic cheaters.
Final Fantasy 10 HD is fucking awesome. This game smokes so many RPG's today. Rolls them up in a big ol' blunt and puffs away.

I was expecting this game to be one of those games you only enjoy because it is early gen "look at how good this looks" Blue Stinger type game. Which is enough for me (unless Killzone has come down in price).
For the record, I loved the first one, tried to play the second one twice and found it to suck.
