In what amazing world is a third person shooter featuring werejellyfish generic?
In Nintendo's world.
and I wasn't talking about the gameplay, I was talking about the art direction. Hence 'it looks generic' The environments, the menu's, the Nendoroid characters, ... They're just not up to the same level of pollish we've seen in recent 1st party home console games.
The article gives absolutely no information about the game whatsoever, and even then I misses the ball by implying that Xenoblade X is being developed by a third party dev.

There are no more werejellyfish third person in Nintendo's world than anyone else's world. There's exactly one in existence in any world.
Graphics whore. But yes, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as either TF2 or De Blob, both of which it is plagiarising.
And France too. So the only way us Euros can get the figure is to buy a new 3ds.
You're looking at it completely wrong. You're getting a new 3DS free with your Skullkid statue for the price you might pay for only the statue on ebay!
Why no standard sized New 3DS in North America, Nintendo? I was actually considering buying one, because my 3DS XL is just too damned big to take anywhere.

I think they looked at sales data and they saw that the XL outsells the normal version by a significant amount and they probably didn't think it would be worth it.
But I did hear a rumor that the standard sized new 3DS will release at a later date; they just want to clear out inventory of the standard 3DS before they release the standard sized new 3DS.
