Yes please!
This better be a Zelda 35th anniversary extravaganza. BOTW2, SS remaster, Zelda Maker, Zelda 2 remake, Zelda All Stars. I want it all! And bayonetta 3, and mario odyssey 2 and splatoon 3 and Metroid Prime 4. I believe these are reasonable expectations.
Congrats travo!
Great to hear you are doing better GG!
I started Control last week and for the first six hours I felt my suspicions were correct, this would be another repetitive Remedy game. While the combat was engaging I found the encounters to be repetitive. The map now a more open interconnected design has a horrible map and o felt all I was searching around for were documents and pitiful upgrades that are mostly trash. Nothing surprising was happening.
And then like the oldest house shifting, Control started to flex its creativity. Side quests are beginning to pop up all over the place, quests that lead to some really unique encounters. I was wondering why does a game with so many cool evil objects make me battle boring enemies with a red glow, I want to fight these things. Then guess what, it happens! Now I am finding hidden boss battles with gigantic screen filling monstrosities. I find hidden puzzle rooms. Levitation let’s me reach cleverly placed hidden locations. There is even a challenge world with different trials. This is the magic sauce that was missing from so many remedy games. It also helps that the story is genius, I never knew about the world of SCP, well now I want more. This could be a brilliant TV show with a creepy object of the week and mythology episodes sprinkled in x-files style.
Levitation power makes the combat so much better, can’t recall a game where I am flying around fighting other floating enemies while acting like a Jedi flinging objects around, it’s so much fun. I was a skeptic but now I am a believer, I am hooked and I hope it keeps this up.This is easily Remedy’s best game.
I kind of thought the same thing about a TV show as you read more of the case files they have scattered around to collect. So many of them seem like they could be a good episode. One in particular that you encounter during the Alan Wake DLC is such a simple and brilliant idea that it could be its own movie.
That would be glorious!
I'd say a bare minimum
Also, it better be good. This will be airing around the time I usually go to bed. I expect to be either too hyped, or too let down to fall asleep easily.
To think that Nintendo hasn’t had a main Direct in like 531 days. This better be damn good.
I'll be driving so I'll have to see it when I get home.
The x-files format would be perfect for a show based on the FBC. Object of the week episodes with mythology episodes mixed in.
It's Nintendo Direct time!
Meh.
Anuma apologising for no news on BotW2.
MEH
Just got home and started watching the replay of the Direct. I just bet all my life savings on there being a StarTropics 3 announcement. I got a real good feeling about it this time. Let’s do this!
Zelda Skyward Sword HD is available for pre-order now on the eShop $59.99. Too expensive for a remaster, but I'll buy it anyway. I like how it no longer requires motion controls to play.
Oh wow! That Mario update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons looks awesome!
Yeah too much but I’ll buy it as well. Hopefully I’ll finish it this time.
