Yeah it's a pretty talky game, particularly early on. It gets better as time goes on though.
I ended up spending about 64 hours on it and could have gone longer but wanted to start playing something else.

I went far more than 12 hours myself, although nowhere near your 64. Probably more like 20. But I think most people will probably get the 10 or 12 hours and seen most of the game.Typical Nintendo, mansplaining everything.
That's typical of most developers these days, sadly.
It's true, it's happening.
Some immortal players now, fun game, I enjoyed it. I'm playing LOTR Shadow of War, never played the sequel and I'm in the mood so I figured I would try it. The war sequences look cool but the entire game is just endless repetition. Nemesis system also good on paper but it just seems to add little dialogue scenes. Meh.
So lots of news coming these next few weeks. Nintendo and Sony have digital events, TGS is coming, Disney is having a marvel games panel.
I believe it's actually pokemansplaining.
The repetition is why Ive stayed away from the sequel.
Splatoon 3 reviews are out, 84 meta. Seems like it's more of the same but refined so it's the best entry but not different enough to get really high marks. Reviews do say the campaign is the best one yet, it's hard like the octo expansion and like 7 hours long. That has me very excited. I'll pass for now and wait for some sale over the holidays.
I gave my family a choice of which Switch game to get this week, Splatoon 3 or Switch Sports. They all felt that Splatoon was just too much of the same and wanted Sports.

How is everyone's Immortals play through going? How far into it are you guys?
I'm usually in the same boat but have been very lucky the last couple of days.
I believe I'm close to the halfway point, saving three of the four gods.
I need to get back to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Haven’t played much of anything in the past few days.
