Man, she seemed to have eternal life. It'll be like the whole of england (and australia, canada,...) had their cat or dog die on the same day.

Rest in peace. With such a state of service, she sure deserves it.

Been playing Xenoblade 2 almost exclusively now.

60 hrs in and really enjoying it.

Graphics could be a lot better.

4ktvs displaying a 720p game makes it worse.

And I think XCX because you could install a high resolution texture pack, that looked better to me too.

Anyhow, after 60 hrs of smooth play they suddenly started gating  story progression behind field skills.

Field skills are thing only certain blades can do, at certain levels.

You can get around it by using a whole bunch of core crystals to make more blades.


But they have to be in your active party at the time you want to use them. Meaning a lot of swapping in and out on menu screens.

What's worse is that blades seem to be randomly given to you like a gatcha machine. So you're not likely to get the skill you need.

Some skills are rare so I've been kinda stuck for 4 hours today just trying to level one skill so I can push the story forwards.

It's a real shame this wasn't smoothed out in the play testing phase.

There are other ways around it I won't bore you with.

I think a thing that bugs me is the bonding of blades to specific main characters. You can only use certain blades with whomever you first bonded them with. And because you never know what blade will appear it feels like a crap shoot as to whether you're going to give a great blade to a character you won't use.

Still, minor problems in an almost wholly fun game.
