Leon's section is kind of meh actually. Its trying to get a zombie vibe going but doesnt feel right. Its not classic RE at all. Zombies dont pose enough of a threat for it to be exciting like RE4. Plus it has weird QTE moments, like Heavy Rain kind of stuff. It is fun to just mess around with the zombies though. Since they are slow you can basically do what you want with them.

Chris demo to me was the best cause it properly showcased the action. And yes this is an action game, even more than RE5. Its not just a TPS anymore with all the new moves, its beyond it.

Dvader, I need you to be VERY careful not to put on the Sonic goggles and apply them to Resident Evil. cheeky

Sonic games are good damn you. And the sucky Sonic games I say they are shitty sonic games. You get complete truth from me. This game will NOT be bad at all. You will see a wide range of scores but do not be shocked to see some 9s.

Yeah I think the game will turn out great as well. I'm expecting 8.5's but also some 9's here and there. The only thing that bothered me was that it was a bit too dark but I can probably fix that in the options.

The brightness setting is hilarious. Turn down until you hardly see the 6. Well its set so the 6 is super visiable even if you turn down to almost nothing but that is not the issue. The issue is the default setting is too dark even if you see the 6 clearly. Hell half the default settings are moronic, like the camera speeds. That is the main reason so many hate the camera so much. Also laser dot is better than crosshair.

I don't understand the hate for RE6 based on the demos.

Is it just about the demos or is it RE fatigue, or even just RE5 hate residual?

Most people hated 5 because it did not stack up to 4, so now we just hate RE forever because it will never be 4?

And anyone have a size? I'd love to have a take myself, but if it's over a GB I won;t be able to get it.

Its under 900 MB.

It is a TON of things all coming together in the perfect shit storm. Capcom wont notice cause this RE will still sell like mad but the next is in huge trouble.

Have you seen me try to reason with people. I feel like there is a riot of about 50,000 people in a stadium and I am one of like 5 cops trying to calm them down.

This is how I feel at every E3 or big reveal. I stay even tempered and look at things logically and I get criticised for defending because I'm one of the few people not shitting my pants. It happened with the circle pad pro and look at that now, no one f****** cares.

Skylock used to get the same crap when he was a mod before I left in 2007 he's just a level headed dude and people would give him crap about it when he was just trying to be reasonable.

For me its got nothing to do with RE5 or fatigue...just the simple fact that the game seems amateurish, and seems like Capcom getting way too far from what the true RE fan wants because they are too busy trying to satisfy the action/setpiece fan. As others have said, RE5 was a step back..and this game is a further step back...how many times are they going to step back? Little things like the graphic problems and camera issues just add the icing onto a hilarious cake.

RE5 wasn't a step back, more like one wrong side step in Sheva but mostly marching in line.

Vader would you take a Resident Evil game that played like Shattered Memories crossed with RE4. So sort of a cross between RE4 and the original RE1 puzzles/item management only with Shattered Memories seamless interface and more complex puzzels on top? And the game played at a slower pace than RE4?

Dont mention SM, I dont want anything like that. But I would love a mix of RE4 with RE1 puzzles and item management.

Explain how that would work as there were rudimentary puzzles in RE4 and the old style RE item management was dumping things in magical vortex chests which were all psychically linked?

RE4 had a magical merchant in place of the magical chests.

That was just for buying stuff and upgrades. In terms of storing your items the old games had magical warp chests, RE4 just had a larger capacity inventory which was unlike the old games.

I for one support magical warp chests, and the calm soothing music that accompanys them:
