The end battle featured the building I did work experience in. Very surreal seeing it.
We saw Fantastic beasts: the secrets of dumbeldore yesterday. What a snoozefest of a movie. The most action packed scene was an escape from a scorpion infested prison where the protagonists had to do a silly walk to keep the scorpions from attacking them.
Also, for someone who is supposed to be this evil wizard, grindelwald sure doesn't put up a fight after losing a rigged election.
The actors do a good job, but it's just such a forgettable, boring movie.
I gave up on that series after the first movie. My wife and son seem to enjoy the series so I may end up watching them all at one point.
Only gripe was the first hour just felt a little bit too rapid fire for my taste. There were a lot of characters they had to reintroduce, so I get why it was done that way, but a little downtime can be a good thing. And they finally got it into the second hour, which is when I thought the whole thing really started to come together.
Hopefully, I think the movie could have actually been split into two. The final run time was over two and a half hours, which is pretty bold for a comic book movie. Supposedly there was some more footage of venom that they left on the floor, and I bet they could have used that to stretch it into two movies. I will, can't blame them for wanting to get it over one-and-done.

I picked up the blu-ray when it came out last week. The trailers for it looked great so I’m pretty eager to watch. Hoping to do it soonish.
Sony really did crank these out quickly. They got out three movies in 5 years. I get why somebody could miss one.
Everyone go see Everything Everwhere All At Once! It is without a doubt the most insane, crazy awesome original movie I have seen in many years. I can't even classify it as one genre, just know I laughed so much I cried, I was so emotional I almost cried from the great message. The acting from Michelle Yeoh is award caliber, it has the guy who plays shortround so many years ago and he kills it. The entire cast is fantastic and they all have to have so much range with the sheer insanity of it all. It is destined to be a new cult classic.
I forgot to talk about Sonic 2 here?! I finally think there is a contender to the throne of best video game movie ever, to topple Mortal Kombat. Sonic 2 is a fans dream movie, they NAILED all the sonic characters, I had such a huge smile for most of the movie. Jim Carey was maximum 90s Carrey. Elba is so damn good as Knuckles, I'm shocked. Yeah it's still a cheesy kids movie and there is this really bad side story in the middle of it but that final act of this movie is pure Sonic heaven. I cannot wait for the next one.

Took the flying saucer and alien concepts and really turned them on its head into something new and different.
I enjoyed it but I expected more. The characters and motivation never gripped me enough to feel emotionally invested when the most tense moments came. I get what he was going for and I appreciate the incredible sound and cinematography that went into it. But it's missing the heart that makes the best of these kinds of action thrillers work.
Finally watched Spider-Man: No Way Home, excellent movie. Ready to watch Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which I picked up today. Really looking forward to watching that.
The cinematography was great. Batman's first scene with the tense music and we are left guessing where he will show up...perfection.
