No idea but I would kill to be able to buy a real honest to goodness Standard Definition TV set.

They've phased them out and don't even give us the option to buy one anymore. I shouldn't have to skank around ebay for a second hand set.

I frakking wish.

The scalers in most HDTVs take a nice SD picture, throws it in a blender and craps out a bad interpretation on most screens.

They should at least give us the option of playing SD content in its native resolution, even if it means playing with black borders on all sides.

Heh, pretty neat looking Kirby game. Love the style. Too bad I don't give a shit about the fucked up pink blob. Still, it's a joy to watch.

GG, Journey is an upcoming PSN game from ThatGameCompany, which made flOw (shit) and Flower (allegedly awesome, haven't tried it). This is a game which has an emphasis on exploration, and with a very smooth and appealing art style.

They are. Looks awesome. It has dynamic sand dunes or some shit like that. You can explore at will, alone or with someone (online), and find out what happened to an ancient, lost civilization.

Just read the Rare/Kinect article. Rare saying the lag isn't there but Digital Foundry says there is Kinect lag but then you add in tv lag so in some games you have to anticipate what you want to do first. It's not huge but its there.

Also Rare say that they wont be just a casual studio and will be doing a mix of games. That Kinect Sports was just an interesting project for them to do. So many we will get more classic IP or something new.

Mikami says games are getting too big, teams too big, doesnt want them to continue that path. Smoking is in the game to help define the character and he can use it to distract enemies by throwing the cigarette. He is sick of everyone wanting him to make huge titles, he wants to do something small. He has an idea for a game where you see a bowl of noodles with bubbles on the surface and you use a chop stick to poke the bubble and connect them. I hope they keep forcing him to make big games,

If you need good noodle themed media while waiting for this, go rent Tampopo. It's a Japanese movie from about 20 years ago and it absolutely hilarious. It was billed as the first "Noodle Western" though there's nothing really Western'ish about it. Anyway great movie and tons of noodles.
