Man it might be possible I dont buy a newly released Wii U game until Aug. 4th. And I dont even want to get Pikmin 3 day one.... Where is Wonderful 101???
I understand Nintendo does these ebbs and flows with their releases but NEVER have they had a console launch with practically nothing from them. It really feels like this console was not ready to come out yet.
This Nintendo Direct depressed me. I'll write something longer about it later.
I'm interested. I feel like its christmas. A christmas where you learn about the things you will get later.
I'm actually going to turn on my Vita, why did I get this thing again? Soul Sacrifice demo is up, should be good.
I'm at the point right now where I wouldn't even care if nothing came out 'til August 4th. It's true I always keep an active Pre-Order list, and I don't HAVE TO buy anything if I don't want to --BUT-- I have so many games I just want to take my time with, savor and enjoy WITHOUT constant distraction... Monster Hunter, Lego City, Disgaea, Ni No Kuni, Borderlands 2, Shin Megami; these are all games that would keep me content for months if I would let them. I don't even care about the new systems at this point either.
Was it the fact that there's less and less coming these days and what IS coming is just re-treads of what came before? There's really nothing new under the sun anymore...
...or was it the fact that they are releasing new versions of older games that you haven't gotten to in your backlog yet?
Just fact-checking is this what they announced? (other than release dates for things annonced prior) :
Ummm... Super Luigi U was announced before, as was Mario Golf.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong was in there too.
Bravely Default Flying Fairy is big news, as is the Western release of Earthbound on the VC.
So LTTP was the only new game?

I guess, to be totally honest with myself, there's very little I care about at the moment, even outside of games. I'm trying to play and act as if everything is normal, but I am just going through the motions. Don't mind my negativity for now... My apologies.

Please, dont apologize. What you are going through is very tough. Its going to take time to heal. "your negativity", you are not being negative, you are always a shining light of positiity and inspiration even in the worst of times. Just that you are here shows this.

What do you mean by that? Is it another 2D platformer, yes. But NSMB and Yoshi's island are pretty different kinds of platformers.
Not exactly. Yoshi's Island was WORLDS better than any portable NSMB game. Wii U was better, but wasn't as creative as Yoshi...
...but for YOUR intents and purposes, yes, it's just another side-scrolling platformer.
