Shrek now has a hand-held that is comfortable for him to hold:
BTW MH4 looks great.
What kind of name is Maxwell McGee anyway.
3DSXXL: Acromegaly Edition. aka The Big 3D Show.
Ouch.
240K is good though isn't it?
No idea what Nintendo expected to sell on either game, but I figure anything selling under a million these days probably isn't doing well.
Ninsquare Enix?
Well, it's niche and it was severely supply constrained. But I get where you are coming from.
I'm sure they see that as pretty good. I recall reading somewhere when the last FE game sold 300K in the US and that set a record for the series.
I certainly hope both games are considered successful by Nintendo. It just didn't sound good when I first read it.
That is huge for FE. Luigi did amazing for like two weeks. It should be near the top of the NPD list for individual SKU at that number.
I played the Soul Sacrifice demo for a good two hours, pretty cool game. The structure of the game is interesting as you are reading a book (that talks to you) and the chapters of the book are your missions. As you select a mission you can also read up on lore which is like your enemy database. There is tons of backstory, all told in an old fable like way, really cool art style as well.
The missions are all arena based combat, usually you have to elminate certain monsters. So you enter an area which is large enough to run around and hide but its just one screen in size, nothing massive. You choose what attacks to have, up to six, these are spells which have a limited number of uses per mission. You can put strong attacks but they can only be used twice. Weaker ones can be used many more times. Scattered around the world you can find objects to replentish magic or absorb fallen enemies for spells or health.
Combat is cool as what spells you choose change how you battle. You can be a specialist at ranged attacks. You can be more in your face super moves kind of guy. You can put defensive spells to be more smart about combat. The action is fast and fluid, far quicker than something like Monster Hunter. As the game opens up you gain allies which are AI partners that help you out, these can become online friends as well. As the missions get harder the monsters become huge epic battles to take them down. Those familiar with MH kind of know the drill.
I was hoping for a game with a large world to explore so I am saddend to see its all missions to small areas. And it seems like the entire game is just combat against enemies. The presentation and story is really well done though and I find the action to be more compelling than MH.
Seems like a quality Vita game but I am not sure these kinds of games are for me.
What the fuck am I looking at?
The drawing link from the new game looks just like the Link in the WW opening.
You're way too nice when it comes to Carnage, Vader. With him crapping on every single Nintendo topic, someone finally HAD TO say it!
You should get Lego City, it's a great game with tons of hours of fun to be played. NFS Most Wanted is really good too, the other Criterion devs in the threads say it's the best version. It's open world with lots of secrets and freedom but also structured racing too.
Why no Pikmin 3?
Let me quote my earlier post before it was buried by the N.Direct:
I hope you guys were as agitated when Final Fantasy 13, 13-2, 14, God of War 4, Gears of War 4, Resident Evil 6, ORC, Monster Hunter 4, Lost Planet 3, Ace Attorney 5 (actually the 7th game in the series), Halo 4 (actually Halo 6), Assasins' Creed 6 (Black Flag), Dead Space 3, Crysis 3 FIFA, Madden 50 etc were announced.
EDIT: LOL Vader's response to Carnageheart pretty much nailed it:
Are you guys forgetting Battalion Wars, Wii Sports Resort, Excitetruck, Excitebots. the Last Story, Xenoblade, Disaster Day of Crisis, Rhythm Heaven, Warioware revivals of Kid Icarus Pikmin Pilotwings and Luigi's Mansion, Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Nintendogs, Brain Training, Harmoknight, Pushmo, Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, Other M etc or that they are publishing and commisioned games like LEGO City, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, SMT X Fire Emblem, Project X made by Monolithsoft and X. Endless Ocean 1 and 2 etc. You could even consider NSMB as a new franchise born in the DS era with it's retro styling (which I am sick of).
People can always play the other games on their systems instead, there are plenty availible. On Wii there was:
