Ironic comments coming from a champion of the LBP games. How many titles is Sackboy featured in now?  5? 6?  What's that?  Sackboy has only been around for one console generation?!

An analysis of the games Nintendo recentely announced:

  • Zelda LLTP game - SNES LTTP was out 12 years ago - Last portable top down Zelda was Spirit Tracks 3 and a half years ago, so by the time new Zelda launches it will be 4 years between them.

-On different generations of hardware

VERDICT: Wide enough space between games in the series, yep, different generations of hardware? Yep. This sequel is deemed acceptable.

  • Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros - Last game in the series Bowsers Inside Story launched 3 and a half years ago, so by the time new game launches it will be 4 years between them.

  • Yoshi's Island 3DS - Last game in the series launched 6 and a half years ago, so by the time new game launches it will be 7 years between them.

-On different generations of hardware

  • Animal Crossing 3DS - Last portable game in the series launched 7 and a half years ago, so by the time new game launches it will be more than 7 years between them. City Folk is 4 and a half years old

-On different generations of hardware

VERDICT: Wide enough space between games in the series, yep, different generations of hardware? Yep. This sequel is deemed acceptable.

They are new games in existing series, but they tend to be years apart and on different generations of hardware, it's not bad considering 6 Assasins' Creed in one generation, 4 gears of war, 3 Uncharted etc etc.

I don't visit videogame sites besides this one, so I don't know - but are people now shitting on Nintendo for these announcements?  Too many sequels and nothing new to show?  Those are all games I'm very excited about and definitely getting.  And if Pikmin 3 materialises I will buy a U ... but I still don't believe it exists.

By the way who else has played Yoshi's Island DS?  It was such an awesome game, much better than New Super Mario Bros. DS even if it was made by a team called Artoon I hadn't heard of (which only made two gimicky Yoshi games prior to that)

People can always play the other games on their systems instead, there are plenty availible. On Wii there was:

For my part I said I've always enjoyed Nintendo's hardware and third party games.  I am just sick of Nintendo's games, (with three notable exceptions).

And to your other (kind of) point here are the non-Nintendo franchises I once loved but now will never buy another of (unless they reboot them) :

  • Infamous
  • Dead Space
  • Gears of War
  • Gran Turismo
  • Call of Duty
  • Guitar Hero
  • God of War
  • David Cage games

At a certain point I reliaze that the developers who churn out the same old shit time and time again are not making games for the people who liked the eraly stuff, they are doing it for all the young people who learn how to hold a controller for the first time every day.  Up until last year I compulsivly bought almost every Mario, Zelda and Metroid game that came out because it was what you had to do.  Now I realize that I just don't play their games.  They are just like any franachise that wears out their welcome.

I still root for Nintendo, as I said I love their third-party games.

Yoshi's Island DS was excellent. One of the best platformers on the system.

That's pretty much what GS is all about these days. Penis shavings with smegma to hold it all together.

And I really have no idea where I'm even going with that.

^ I saw that FF vs Elder scrolls thread at GS. Holy fuck, you could drown in the ignorance.  It's stunning.

I've rejoined these communities to promote the Game Under podcast, and it's stunning how 9+ posts out of 10 are either ignorant, or full of hate.  This place ruins you for community interaction.

I'm 3 hours into the story. Its not as good as I had hoped, but unless it takes a serious dive I can't see how you'd dismiss it like he has.

My biggest gripe with the review is he sites lack of replay as a miss. Really? People actually care about watching their own fights after the fact?

The worst kind of troll; one who picks and chooses posts to respond to.  There is nothing wrong with honest disagreement, there is nothing wrong with being disagreeable (if you are intelligent enough, like Iga). But it is cowardly to ignore posts with good points and only engage where you think you can best your opponent.

Google Glass’ terms of service actually has a clause that threatens to deactivate the wearable computing device should you transfer, resell, or loan it out to a friend with out Google’s explicit authorization. The clause may seem a bit harsh for a device that you actually own (especially considering the price tag), but Google is being very choosey about who it gives the eye wear to the first place.
