I've been far too positive lately. So in that spirit I've decided to make a list of games I hate. Games that in my mind completely and utterly suck. Now to clarify I'm not going to list games that were never meant to be anything other than functional at best. I'm here to talk about games that were meant to be good. And some people do think they're good (they're wrong). Maybe you're one of these people (and once again I want to emphasize you're wrong). But this is my list so fuck off.
So for the month of February I'm going to give you my list. One new game a day. Look forward to it and feel the hate flowing within you. And here it is in no particular order:
- Faxanadu
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
- Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal
- Pac-Man (Atari 2600)
- Dr. Franken
- Torin's Passage
- Blues Brothers (SNES)
- Limbo
- X-Men (Sega Genesis)
- Harvest Moon: My Little Shop
- Child of Eden
- Herdy Gerdy

8. Limbo
Hey Rob, I love your new stuff but sometimes I really just want to hear the classics. Okay, in that case I hate Limbo. Still hate it several years later. The way I see it, this game was made with the same fundamental principal that most 8-bit games were made on. "We've got a short game, so lets lengthen the play time by putting in death traps that the player cannot possibly avoid unless they know to look out for them." People have criticized this type of game design in early games, but apparently if you put it in a black and white game and give it some eerie music it's genius. Yep, I hate it. It sucks ass. I won't even post a second picture of the game because I hate it that much.
Limbo was a game I always thought about getting, but didn't because I had a feeling I'd feel the same way about it.
There was another indie game a few years back I bought and couldn't stand....the one with the guy in the suit and tie? Sucked so bad I can't remember the name.
Braid. One of the biggest holy cows and worst games I ever played in my life. That game makes me clinically depressed, seriously. Robio please hate Braid. Do it for the team.
Bah, I still have Braid somewhere in my Steam library, unplayed. I was hoping to one day play it, in an alternate universe where I actually have a lot of time to play games, but now you guys have ruined it for me.
Braid was fun for a bit until I got stuck at a certain point then it just seemed to convoluted to bother with anymore.
I was never interested in trying Limbo.
Limbo was better than Braid. I actually finished it.
Sounds like you guys just suck at videogames.
Braid was pedantic.
Yes! That was the turds name. I think you have to be a yuppy to enjoy that shit.
